With me, you or your children will learn how to find your own style and tools. Get to experiment with different styles – be it realistic, figurative or abstract! – and OR choose to focus on subject and method. Among the techniques and skills you will be able to learn, there is : painting (acrylic, oil), watercolours, sketching, drawing (pencil, brushes), illustration, colour theory, collage, mixed medias, linocut engraving and printmaking, book making, clay, stencil, lettering... Traditional drawing and painting include knowledges such as : light, shape, line, colour theory, space, composition. You will get to learn through copy of master works and real life observation (still life, landscape, portrait). A programme of various activities for children and teens is available, focusing on the development of their curiosity, creativity and interpersonal skills. I will work with them on topics that they are interested in while developing a sympathetic, ethical and open-minded approach. They will learn how to see the world differently by using different techniques, materials, recycling elements or going from 2D to 3D works by using sculpture or installation. For advanced students, I also provide counseling on creative thinking, artistic process and techniques. You will learn how and where to find inspiration, create better artworks through process, art history, composition, rythm, colour theory or experiment. All programs will be custom-made, adapting techniques, level and themes to the pupil(s). Children can be taught in small groups.

Trusted teacher: In Italy I taught in 4 different schools of music, there I had the opportunity to gain a lot of experience with students of all ages and all levels. I have had many children pupils, who approached the trombone or another brass instrument for the first time, as many amateurs of all ages who needed a guide for their path, but also adults with a great knowledge of music, who wanted to perfect themselves and find inspiration to cultivate their passion. If you are approaching the Trombone for the first time, there are NO requirement, book your lesson and you will try the instrument at my place, then if you want to progress you will need to buy your own instrument. If you are an amateur or you already study in another school but you want to perfect yourself or you need any help for any issues, just come by and we will see together your level and what you need to improve. Many masterclasses all around Italy and abroad taught me that every student is different, and a teacher can change your life just by saying the right sentence, we will work together. I have several methods to study any technical issue of the trombone, and a lot of inspiring exercises, we will find together the books that fit you better. To have a proper education, I take care about ear training, singing, and of course breathing and body posture as well, I want you to feel good with your instrument and to approach to the music in a relax and funny way.

Matteo is a very inspiring teacher and a great trombone player who performs regularly! I’m very thankful to have him as my teacher and already learned a lot in 4 lessons. The lessons are very motivational and fun and at the same time very structured, precise and professional. I practice more than before and I'm making sure steps in improving my playing. Miguel is super nice and candid person, you can tell he is very passionate for the guitar and teaching it. He has a solid background as musician, specialised in “Tango”, he can play multiple styles, and in different languages. Within the first session, Miguel gave me quick and easy tips which I’m already practicing and can see improvement :) highly recommended
