University methodology, research, oral presentations — graduate of the ENS de LyonTranslate this text using Google Translate.

University methodology, research, oral presentations — graduate of the ENS de LyonTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Having graduated from ENS Lyon in social sciences, I offer personalized support for students who wish to improve their academic methodology, research work, presentations and oral presentations. After three years of preparatory classes in literature and social sciences at the Lycée Janson de Sailly, I entered the ENS de Lyon through a competitive entrance exam. There I pursued a course in social sciences, with a Master 1 in sociology followed by a Master 2 in history, partly completed in Japan. During my studies, I completed two research papers, numerous research notes, and a literature review in the sociology of gender. For several years, I was therefore required to read scientific articles, research and select references, compile bibliographies, analyze sources, and organize research questions. Today I propose to support students who wish to acquire or consolidate these methods, whether for their studies, presentations, reports or research work. I offer support in university methodology, research, and oral exam preparation. With several years of training in social sciences, two research papers, a literature review, and numerous research notes, I can help students develop a research question, find and organize their references, effectively read scientific articles, structure their work, and improve their academic writing. I also offer preparation for oral exams, presentations, mock exams, and selection interviews. Having given numerous presentations and mock exams in preparatory classes and having passed the entrance exams for the ENS, HEC, and ESSEC, I can support the preparation of content, structure, and oral presentation, with simulations and targeted work on questions, clarity, and time management. University methodology I can assist you with, among other things: • the understanding and effective reading of scientific articles; • bibliographic research and selection of relevant references; • the construction of a bibliography; • the creation of a state-of-the-art report; • the formulation of a problem; • the construction of a plan; • the organization of a research project; • academic writing; • the creation of a reading log; • preparing a presentation; • the preparation of a file or academic work; • proofreading and improving the structure of a work. I can also help students who do not know how to approach a thesis or research paper: how to start from a relatively broad topic, find a research question, identify existing works, organize their readings and gradually build a personal reflection. A concrete research experience My experience is based directly on several years of academic work. My first year of Master's studies in sociology focused on the sociology of gender and the sociology of emotions, while my second year of Master's studies in history focused on women and the city in Tokyo at the turn of the 1990s. I also conducted a state-of-the-art review in gender sociology, as well as numerous research notes during my studies. This work led me to dedicate several years to reading scientific articles, searching for references, compiling bibliographies and organizing large amounts of information. I can therefore pass on a very concrete method to go from "I have a lot of things to read" to "I know what I need to remember, how to organize it and how to use it in my work". Preparation for oral exams and presentations I also offer preparation sessions for university oral exams, presentations, talks, practice exams and selection interviews. My experience in preparatory classes gave me particularly intensive practice in oral communication: I took many oral exams and gave numerous presentations in different disciplines. I also took the entrance exams for ENS, HEC and ESSEC, and was admitted to ENS Lyon, HEC and ESSEC on my first attempt. Therefore, I can assist you with: • construct a clear and structured presentation; • select the important information; • build an effective plan; • prepare an oral or visual presentation; • work on the wording and the flow; • learn to present without simply reciting; • anticipate the questions; • prepare answers to difficult questions; • work on time management; • train in conditions similar to those of the competition; • to gain fluency and confidence in speaking. Work based on practice I prefer a very concrete preparation: after working together on the content and structure of the presentation, we can do oral simulations, then go over precisely what can be improved. For example, we can work on: the content — relevance of arguments, references, organization of ideas; the structure — introduction, transitions, conclusion and time management; the form — clarity, precision, rhythm, vocabulary and formulation; questions — anticipating objections and preparing reasoned answers; presentation — posture, gaze, voice and ability to adapt to the reactions of the person you are speaking to. The goal is not to learn a text by heart, but to enable the student to master their subject sufficiently to be able to present it clearly and answer questions relevantly. For which students? I can, in particular, assist with: • Bachelor's and Master's students; • students in history, sociology and social sciences; • students who have to complete a dissertation or research paper; • students preparing a presentation or talk; • students in preparatory classes preparing for oral exams or competitive exams; • candidates preparing for an admission oral exam or an interview; • Students wishing to improve their academic study methods. I adapt to the level and needs of each individual: this can be one-off support for a presentation or oral exam, or more regular follow-up for a dissertation or research work. Courses in Lyon or online I offer in-person sessions in Lyon or remotely and have the necessary equipment to work effectively remotely. For written assignments, it is also possible to work from the student's documents in order to prepare together a methodology, a structure or a presentation. Please feel free to tell me about your level of study, the work you would like to be supported on and your objectives: together we can determine the most suitable session format.

Philosophy courses: methodology, general knowledge, argumentation. I have 10 years of experience. Non-academic teaching.Translate this text using Google Translate.

It is true that the philosopher is the friend of wisdom, but above all, he is someone who does not want to make mistakes in reasoning. Philosophizing is a way of reasoning and a way of solving problems that will never have a perfect and definitive solution. Knowing the distance between the Earth and the Moon is not a problem of philosophy, because it is enough to measure to solve it. On the other hand, knowing, for example, what justice is, is a problem of philosophy. A meter will not be able to help us know the answer. We must go about it differently, and in the courses I offer, I will teach you how. You will learn - text reading strategies - case studies with the aim of learning from experts - methodology in philosophy - writing an essay - writing a text commentary - a work on the philosophers of your choice - an overview of the history of philosophy - the general culture necessary to be able to philosophize I will adapt to your individual needs. Each course is tailor-made. We will analyze where your difficulties lie and together develop a course program that will make you perform as quickly as possible. The basic principle of the courses I offer is dialectics, like Plato's dialogues: reflecting together, making theoretical contributions, asking questions and seeking answers, and testing the validity of reasoning. For the past 10 years, I have been teaching German using the philosophy methodology, having studied philosophy at the Master's level at Aix-Marseille University. It turns out that the analytical mind is very useful even outside the confines of philosophy. Today, there are even fields of activity such as management with philosophy or philotherapy. In recent years, some German students have asked me to also teach them philosophy courses, and that is why I decided to offer philosophy courses directly. I look forward to meeting you during a first lesson.

Law and economics courses: high school, STMG (Science and Technology of Management and Business), higher education and exam preparationTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Law and economics courses: high school, STMG (Science and Technology of Management and Business), higher education and exam preparationTranslate this text using Google Translate.

As a high school Economics and Management teacher and former lawyer, I currently teach law and economics in the final year of STMG (Science and Technology of Management and Business). I offer private lessons to high school and university students who wish to better understand these subjects, consolidate their knowledge, acquire an effective work method or prepare for an exam. In law, we work on understanding legal concepts and vocabulary, classifying facts, formulating legal issues, identifying applicable rules, and constructing rigorous legal reasoning. Depending on the level, support may also include practical cases and methodological exercises for higher education students. In economics, I prioritize understanding mechanisms rather than mechanical learning: mastering concepts, analyzing documents and data, mobilizing knowledge and constructing a reasoned response. The sessions are tailored to each student's needs: reviewing a poorly understood chapter, reinforcing fundamental concepts, methodology, targeted exercises, and preparing for an assignment or exam. I can also provide summary materials when necessary. Particular attention is paid to the quality of reasoning, the precision of vocabulary, and written expression. My goal: to enable the student to understand, reason methodically and gradually become autonomous.

I do not simply provide generic templates or ready-made answers. I help you understand why a method or strategy fits your situation, what assumptions it depends on, how to evaluate alternatives, how to detect weaknesses, and how to defend the final decision clearly. Academic and professional integrity are essential. I provide teaching, methodological guidance, critical feedback, analytical support, planning, coaching, and supervision-style mentoring. I do not write assessed theses or dissertations, complete examinations, fabricate research results, or misrepresent a student’s or professional’s experience. My goal is to help you become the genuine owner of your research, project, or professional path—able to explain your decisions, manage complexity, communicate clearly, and move forward independently.

“ Kevin is a genius, who is capable of breaking down complex concepts into manageable, useful bits. If you think of a really large basket of vegetables and fruits. You know all the nutrients are good for you, but it would be tedious to try to eat it all raw. But then, you get a juicer or blender or 'Nutribullet', and juice all those vegetables and fruits into a refreshing smoothie. You can then drink that smoothie as quickly or slowly as you wish, and still get all the necessary nutrients... That's what Kevin can do - he juices all the complex intricacies of the German language into something you can understand and digest. His methods are unconventional, but very helpful in laying a proper foundation for a successful language learning journey. Very highly recommended. ”

“ I’ve had a great experience learning French with my tutor. He is highly knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely committed to helping me improve. His lessons are challenging in a very positive way: he pushes me beyond my comfort zone and encourages me to express myself at a higher level rather than relying on what feels easy or familiar. Although the lessons can be demanding, I’ve found that this approach has benefited my French greatly and has helped me become more confident and capable in the language. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is serious about making real progress in French. ”

“ Tiziana is a amazing with kids. Both my daugters love the lessons with her. She makes learning fun. ”
