I am Lukas, a trained jazz drummer with a broad musical background. During my studies, I delved into various styles, including jazz, pop/rock, funk, Latin, and hard rock. I bring this versatility to my lessons. In my teaching practice, the focus is on relaxed playing technique, timing (microtiming), sound, groove, coordination, musicality, and improvisation. I start as much as possible from the student's interests, supplemented by an extensive range of methods, books, and self-developed practice material. The lessons take place in my little drum studio on Appelstraat, near the Roma in Antwerp! During my training, I was taught by, among others, Toni Vitacollona, Jonas Burgwinkel, Teun Verbruggen, Jan-Kris Vinken, Wouter Van Tornhout, Jan De Haas, Lieven Venken, Achim Bill, and Steven Cassiers.
