I am a professionally trained Classical violinist with a passion for teaching people of all ages how to play the violin in a way that creates a beautiful sound and as little physical tension as possible. I am happy to teach any type of music that you are interested in learning, while working on the basics of violin playing (such as technique), so that you can play whatever genre you like better. I want to work on what will keep you engaged while still creating a strong technical foundation. However, if you are a beginner, then I generally begin with the Suzuki violin books. I can help teach you how to practice effectively, how to improve quickly and what to prioritize for a more beautiful sound and more comfort playing the instrument. Above all, I make sure that you are enjoying the journey of learning such a beautiful and rewarding instrument. I look forward to hearing from you!

I offer individual violin lessons for beginners, advanced players and music students. My particular focus is on Baroque music and historically informed performance practice. For the past three years, I have been intensively studying the Baroque violin and the music of the 17th and 18th centuries. In my teaching, I convey not only technical fundamentals but also stylistic understanding, phrasing, articulation, and the characteristic sound of Baroque music. In addition, I naturally also teach the classical violin repertoire. Lessons cover playing technique, bowing, intonation, vibrato, scales, musical expression, and efficient practice. I'm happy to support you with entrance exams, competitions, orchestra auditions, or when learning new pieces. Each lesson is individually tailored to your goals and skill level. I am studying violin at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (mdw).

I am a Greek violinist, originally from Thessaloniki. I have lived in Vienna since 2009 and completed my studies at the MUK Private University in the class of Lidia Baich. Before that, I studied at the Gnessin Institute in Moscow. It's especially important to me to offer my students the opportunity to experience music and express themselves in this beautiful language during lessons. Since I myself come from the Russian school, the basic principles of the violin are combined with beautiful sound, expressiveness, and a musical character. And, of course, humor is a must!

------------------------------ ENG Playing the violin is the perfect way to express yourself. Practicing takes time, but it becomes much easier when you play music you love. In my classes, your creativity is essential. Along with a solid technical foundation, we train your ear and musical intuition through improvisation and the exploration of styles such as folk and contemporary music. I don't believe in rigid methods; I completely adapt my teaching to your needs. Your ideas and musical contributions are always welcome, and I love it when students bring their own music to class. My goal is for music to extend beyond the classroom and become an inspiring part of your daily life. Music is meant to be enjoyed and shared!

As a Cambridge University graduate in the Faculty of Education, I am delighted to have settled down in the Netherlands since September 2019. I started piano at the age of 5, and music has been an important part of my life ever since. Classically trained as a violinist, I picked up another instrument named Erhu (Chinese violin) and became a professional performer. I am experienced in teaching both children and adults, from different cultural backgrounds. Also, I have been actively involved in both Western and Chinese orchestra since high school. Thanks to my years of experience in being an orchestra member and soloist, I am also familiar with orchestral music. As a humble music therapist, I am passionate about music and believe in the power of music. I trust that music is in everybody and I respect every student's individuality and thus tailor my teaching methods to develop my students' full potential. I started teaching in 2009 and most students put their trust in me when they first decided to learn an instrument. I also enjoy exploring the world of music with students with learning disabilities. I am proud to say, my students, aged from 5 to 60, are enthusiastic in playing the instrument they have chosen and keen to improve their skills following my advice. I adopt a flexible approach in teaching - I believe every student is unique and my job is to develop the strengths and improve the weaknesses. I put a lot of emphasis on a solid foundation in my teaching. For young children, I tend to use a more interactive approach to explain complicated music theories, yet strict in the fundamentals such as posture and rhythm. For adults, I am always happy to discuss with them my lesson plan and choose the best exercises and songs that suit their music interests and needs. For my students who would like to take exams, I am happy to tailor the lessons based on their progress. I believe in the quality of learning and understanding rather than the number of pieces that they learn. Many beginners and their parents have put their trusts in me and achieved distinction in their first ABRSM exam. I am fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese, and a native speaker of Cantonese Chinese. I am happy to travel and travel costs will be added on the top of the standard tuition fee. *Proof of qualifications avaliable upon requests.

I take all students from beginner to experienced musicians (who often need coaching in deportment and/or bowing technique) and encourage proper traditional Irish style. I teach aurally and written music using enough music theory to pass Irish state examinations in either TTCT (traditional) all levels, or up to RICM (classical) to level 4. While keeping lessons lighthearted and fun the idea is to quickly build up a repertoire of tunes that allow the learner to 'sit-in' on sessions as quickly as possible while also learning how to learn so one can pick up tunes easily. I myself have 7 All Ireland medals stretching from 1971 to 2001.
