Hello, Master student from the Musik Akademie Basel, I'm offering singing lessons for beginners to advanced singers. Specific repertoires we can work on go from medieval music, traditional songs, to classical opera. Bring anything you would like to work on, and I can also suggest new repertoire for you. I am singer, classically trained with a main focus in early music and voice embodiment. I also studied recorder, clarinet and musicology. As a teacher and performer, I focus on a joyful, healthy and technically skilled way of singing. I focus not only on the sound production, but also on body posture, relaxation and organic movement. An happy and relaxed body creates a beautiful, natural and relaxed sound. We choose the repertoire together and work together towards developing your voice, your expressivity, text and style interpretation at your fullest potential. I have experience teaching several music genres, from classical, jazz, pop, folk music and even extended vocal techniques like growls. I am quite open to the students requests and always willing to research deeper and expand my vocal vocabulary. Singing is a vulnerable, intimate and also communal act. Sadly, our modern world has mystified it into the sphere of the "born-talent" ideal, which often scares people from even trying to sing. I find this phenomena a cruel and exclusivist perspective on singing. I consider singing an universal right, and we should all be unashamed of singing, be it in your bathtub, while walking on the street, in a dinner with friends, or in the next open stage at your local bar. We all have the capacity and the right to sing. If anybody has told you that you can't sing, they were wrong. Like any skill, you can learn it. And if you sing, you, your body, and your soul will be happier. One of my students once said: "You come for a singing lesson and you discover something new about who you are". I think that would summarize well the space I try to create in my lessons.

I offer music theory lessons for all ages and levels (starting from age 10 onwards) I help pupils to develop the ability to read and sight sing music and, to develop and expand their hearing and intonation skills. I adapt my lessons to the student's needs and level but I'm also happy to provide a more structured program to prepare exams and auditions for music students wishing to enter a conservatory or music academy (solfége, reading, writing, dictation and basic harmony) . My top priority is that students have fun and enjoy themselves during the process of learning. I teach in English, Spanish, Italian and French. I offer music theory lessons for all ages and levels (from 10 years old). I help students develop their ability to sight read and sing, as well as develop and expand their hearing and intonation skills. I adapt my lessons to the needs and level of the student but I am also happy to provide a more structured program to prepare for exams and auditions for music students who wish to enter a conservatory or an academy (music theory, reading , writing, dictation and basic harmony). The most important thing for me as a teacher is that students have fun and enjoy the learning process. I teach in English, Spanish, Italian and French.

As an Italian Opera singer, I help since many years singers with the right pronunciation of the repertoire they sing, helping them in shaping the language in a clear way, which also helps the singing. Our lesson will involve speaking, pronunciation exercises and singing. We will start the lesson by reading the text and finding the right direction and emphasis. We will focus on the sounds and how to produce them. In the second part of the lesson, we will apply all of the above to the singing!

From my childhood I have been studying music and art: sang in choir and solo, played piano, painted, studied music history and literature, solfeggio. Later in college I have also learned choir conducting, had ensemble and choir singing lessons, cultural studies. During last year in university I had pedagogy practice at university and at private art school (where I worked as a music tutor before the war - piano, voice). I truly enjoyed working with students. They all were different age (8 - 40+ years old) and level. But all were very interesting and work was pleasant. My education was very various: my core subjects were conducting, choir, voice, piano. So it allowed me to work with children, teens and adults with quite wide range of interests and needs: some students needed/wanted to learn particular composition(s), sometimes pop songs arrangements, some were interested in “introduction” to the music, some wanted to renew skills they gained in their childhood and continue their journey to the music world. In addition I prepared presentations (which contained information about cultural and historical background and musical and character/art analysis). So after graduation from choir conducting faculty (which allowed me to deepen my knowledge in many important compatible branches) I concentrated on studying classical singing and piano, expanded my cultural studies and analysis knowledge, practiced solfeggio and harmony.
