Learning music can be very fun and useful for music lovers. Understanding how music works will allow you to enter the music world and take a step to becoming a musician! I will teach you how to read a music sheet, notes, intervals, chords, everything about music theory, with examples and fun exercices. I am a very patient person, and have studied music for 14 years now, therefore I have a lot of experience.

Did you know that in the Klezmer history clarinet substituted the violin for projection reasons but also because perfectly able to imitate the human voice, crying or laughing? Would you like to discover the fascinating world of clarinet? One of my priorities as a musician is the sound. I believe that with a beautiful and personal sound you are able at every level to transmit emotion and meaning, it doesn’t matter the difficulty or the level. So I try to focus first on awareness of what’s beautiful for the student and what’s not. Then through technique and repertoire (suggestions of the student or suggestions of mine that can help to grow the student curiosity), we develop the student knowledge. Always helping the student to understand -depending on his/her the theoretical level- what we are doing, putting together music and theory. And giving tools to expand the border, at all levels. I have knowledge and experience in Jazz, Classical, Klezmer, Choro Music and Improvisation. You just need a precious element! • Music Theory I focus on having a good basics, spending as much as we need to understand every single thing, because then with times it becomes more easy. I try to help the student simplifying the material because then, we only with ourselves with a good procedure of the basics to solve any problem. Only with one lesson, you will understand what I mean. I have experience in preparing students for exams, the ones for the semester as well as any official exam; doesn't matter if you have an intermediate theory level and you want to improve, or if you would like to be stronger solidifying the knowledge you have (which is always the best option), or if you don’t know anything about notes and music concepts and you would like to be familiar with them. Maybe you are an adult who always wanted to improvise but doesn’t know where to start...? The only thing you need is a good organization -which I can provide- to reach any goal!

Hello! My name is Karolina and I am a professional singer, as well as an upcoming music therapist. I studied Jazz Music at Prins Claus Conservatorium in Groningen and at the moment I am completing my Master studies in Music Therapy at the ArtEZ Conservatorium in Enschede, The Netherlands. I also hold a degree of the Orff Approach (Orff Schulwerk), a developmental approach used in music education, which combines music, movement, and speech and it is a great approach for children 4-8 years old. Vocal Technique: We focus on vocal technique elements such as breath control, vocal range, the use of all registers, and timbres of your voice. The goal is to sing effortlessly. Repertoire: Together we can build your repertoire step by step and focus on the phrasing of each style. I am specialized in Classical Music, though I can teach also Jazz in a beginner to intermediate level. My name is David, I'm a trumpet player, composer, and conductor based in Rotterdam. I started to study music when I was 8 years old and I get the Professional Music degree in the specialty of classical trumpet at the Conservatory of Noia (Galicia, Spain) and I've been playing Jazz since I was a teenager. In my country, I have been a student with teachers such as Paco Charlín or Abe Rábade, whom I have considered my mentors for years, but I have also studied and attended numerous masterclasses and workshops with internationally renowned teachers such as Michael Phillip Mossman, Antonio Hart, Darren Barret, Michel Camilo, Logan Richardson, Orrin Evans ...etc. With 18 years working and studying the trumpet, I have been fortunate to play with numerous artists and projects such as Phillip Dizack, Nelson Cascais, Kyle Poole, Dyna Stephens, Walter White, L.A.R. Legido, Jesús Santandreu, Pontejazz Big Band, CSM Big Band and also with different groups and orchestras of dance and Latin music. As a teacher, I have experience teaching in different schools, teaching trumpet lessons, music theory, and choir and ensemble conduction, working with both young children and adults and the elderly, aged between 4 and 85. Do you have a solid rhythmic fundation and you want to get in touch with Jazz or Latin music? Learning a language, especially if you are not a mother-tongue, is very hard. Generally I believe that to learn how to express yourself through your instrument is a life-long learning process. I can show you the first steps you need to take for applying your technical skills and coordination in these styles. We can listening to recordings and to check how the drummer accompanies his band mates, how he expresses his solo ideas. We can transcribe comping ideas, solo ideas, and of course I'll show the approach I use to learn and to digest this information to make it mine. The internet is full of videos and tutorials about songs, chords, scales, licks and even music theory. But if you're tired of playing that song, or that lick, without being able to change it, then this class is for you. Before I entered the conservatory, I could never really understand what I was playing. And that was preventing me from expressing my musicality. By this I mean, I wasn't able to change a chord, or do a variation on a melody, or even creating an Intro. And this requires not so hard skills that can easily be developed just by thinking in music by its harmonical context. In my lessons I'll garantee you learn all this skills and you start making music since the very first day.
