Learn guitar from an experienced musician from Germany! I have played guitar for more than twenty years now and played over a hundred gigs with different bands (rock, pop, singer/songwriter, cover).

My method is a very simple one - tell me, what you would like to play, and I will teach you to play it in a few lessons. No musical background knowledge is needed, and we will not dive too far into music theory. My lessons are all about fun and learning quickly and without many difficulties.

Hey, my name is Toby, and I am a qualified teacher from Germany. I teach English, German and Philosophy in a secondary school as well as guitar and drums privately.

Education

I hold a Bachelor's (NFQ 8) and Master's degree (NFQ 9) in English and Philosophy as a teacher (Ruhr-University Bochum, Germany). Before studying German and English for teaching, I studied Audio Engineering at the School of Audio Engineering in Bochum (Diploma).

Folk or classical acoustic guitar.

The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation.

For example, for beginners: Technique of the plectrum or fingers, coordination and correction of the right and left hand. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythms, reading tablatures (...).

For intermediaries: development of rhythm, construction of chords, writing of tablatures, basic notions of harmony (...).

Depending on your goals, you can learn, if you wish, to play 60 to 80% of current music from the first lessons, which often use the same chords and the same techniques. The objectives take into consideration the following points:
