I am a flute player and music educator based in Beirut, Lebanon. I have been teaching the flute and music theory for 5 years. During the pandemic lockdown, I developed my online teaching skills, and designed my classes in fun and interactive ways.

I learned the flute and got my bachelor degree in music education from Antonine University.
I attended lots of orchestra and band workshops as active flute player, in addition to conducting masterclasses.
I also went to Spain for a flute workshop.

I have experience in teaching online flute and music education. My class is always animated, designed on PowerPoint, and also I always include play along songs and YouTube videos too.
My passion to music teaching made me develop my skills and fun ways to teach especially children, and also adults.
Lately I added to my experience teaching music theory to a blind adult, I found out new techniques that helped her imagine music rhythm, notation, and intervals to be able to play and sing it.
I believe that everyone can learn music, and it is the music teacher job to reach out and create the way her student can learn, understand, and have fun.

Your body is your instrument when singing. We try to make that instrument sound as beautiful as possible by working on sound formation. This allows the vocal cords to move more freely, so that you get tired less quickly when singing. Your voice becomes fuller and you can sing higher and lower notes.

During the singing lessons we also work on articulation, the pronunciation of foreign languages and also on the meaning of and your feelings about a particular piece. Of course you decide what kind of music you will sing. Whether you sing alone in the shower or whether you are in a choir and encounter certain difficulties in general or with a specific piece? Please feel free to bring your choir part to class and we will see together how we can make this easier for you. We work on repertoire that you love. We can also make a journey of discovery together to your favorite music.

WHO CAN LEARN TO SING?
Everyone can learn to sing. Because of the singing lessons you will notice that singing becomes easier. Moreover, singing is good for relaxation, both of body and mind. Singing is just enjoying!

As a singer you already have one advantage over instrumentalists: you do not have to buy an (expensive) instrument. You always have your instrument with you, but... you have to take good care of your instrument!

There are two grand pianos at the location in Den Haag.

For children, it is important to develop basic musical skills through Singing, Rythmique, and Ear training besides piano playing. I use one technical exercise book, the main textbook, and a theory book. Through these 3 books, students learn different aspects of music and they naturally get ready for exams and grades.

After acquiring basic skills, students study Harmony and Chord exercises too. These are useful for playing pops and jazz, and they obtain a deeper understanding of classical pieces too.

Private Piano lesson, from age 4 and above. Children can start the lesson after being able to read the numbers from 1 to 5 and the alphabet from A to G.

Advanced students who want to prepare for competitions, auditions, ABRSM, GCSE, IB exams, or the entrance exam of the conservatory.

The concert is held annually together with students of flute, violin, and composition teachers.

For the ages 1-7 years, I have group Rhythmique lessons.

My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels.

For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that!
Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;)

I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example.

The lessons would take place at my home in Mol or via webcam. If necessary, we can always agree on something else.
