Learn to Draw and Paint, or Improve, with a Classically trained painter- technical skillsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Private Painting and Drawing lessons, any level! I am a classically trained painter, I have been painting seriously for 20 years and studied intensively in Florence, Italy. I will teach you the basics about light, form, line, colour and space, and how to constantly grow and improve. We start with drawing from observation and continue to other mediums, including oil paint, once the student is ready. Landscape, still life, portrait, expressive. My goal is to help my students improve every time and reach a new level. I provide many examples from art history as well as my own work, and give lots of demonstrations. I offer a personalized approach fitted to each student. The classes are in a small group format, no more than 4 at a time and each student works at their own pace, it is private classes with other students present, offering a supportive environment in which to learn and grow. Each student receives personalized instruction at their own level. Each student is guaranteed to improve. I ask for a commitment of 5 lessons at a time to see some improvement, and I accept students who are looking for longer term learning. Commitment is a must to grow! Try out one lesson to see if the class is a good for for you. My students tend to stay with me for the long term, if it is the right fit. The classes take place in my studio in the charming location of Grand Hospice, a converted hospice in the city center of Brussels.

Learning Sculpture: From Classicism to Abstract ArtTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Learning Sculpture: From Classicism to Abstract ArtTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Learning Sculpture: From Classicism to Abstraction. Sculpture classes for amateurs or beginners. Starting with bas-relief and progressing to sculpture in the round. I offer classical or abstract training in contemporary art, allowing you to explore your imagination and/or create figurative figures. The course is obviously based on your interests. If you're interested in learning practical sculpting techniques, such as figurative art, we'll focus on that. If you're more drawn to a more abstract form of expression, I'll guide you through your more fantastical ideas. Once your pieces are made, we will think together about the best finishes, whether it be molding and casting in plaster, or ceramic firing of the work. Your productions in progress will be protected and handled with care, and any production that passes the final molding or baking stage will belong to you; I will ask you to take them back when they are finished. The figurative and abstract art courses offer different paths, which can obviously be combined to achieve an interesting middle ground. The figurative course provides busts and plaster casts from which to create models, allowing you to better understand the forms of the face, body, and volumes that make up the human being. Anatomical references will also be available as needed; for example, when working on the torso in modeling, I will present you with advanced anatomical references that you can keep. The course on abstraction operates on another axis, freer, where it will be your ideas above all which will build your path, with technical help from me, advice and helping hands when you need it. You can combine these two courses and I will gladly accompany you on this more mixed path. Since sculpture is a medium that takes up space, your works should not exceed certain dimensions, which will be determined based on your desires and ambitions. Materials are provided: clay, plaster, modeling tools, and other tools. The quantities of clay and plaster will vary depending on your artwork and the chosen method; this variation may affect the price. For example, a piece requiring 5-10 kilos of clay will be less expensive than one requiring twice that amount. Silicone molding may also incur higher costs. From creative writing to creating artwork - a class by an academic artist and researcherTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Have you ever wondered how to create artwork? What are the inspiration sources and processes that lead to thinking, sketching, and developing ideas for a visual work? How to understand your own thoughts and express them in a creative way, through writing and/or drawing? This course will provide you with this knowledge and practice! With this course, under the guidance of an experienced academic artist and researcher, you will develop theoretical, but, most of all, practical skills and tools for creating your own artwork: from a thought to a visual result. The focus of this course is on creative writing exercises and artistic methods such as drawing, aquarelle, collage, photography, video art, and other multimedia. This will allow you to better understand practices of contemporary art and to participate from your own home. We will create beautiful texts and poems, expressive sketches and creative maps, illustrative paintings, and photos. The classes are tailored based on the student's needs and wishes, which means different creative exercises. After creative writing, when we reach the visual process, the introduction and guidance for the practical skill of the desired medium will be offered. This class is offered to anyone, no matter the level they have. As an artist with traditional art education, and contemporary art research degree, I believe I can help you regardless if it's for your own practice and interests, or if it's for an academic guidance.

I spent a lovely couple of hours with Shoshana, where she taught me the basics of mixing scale and I attempted to paint my first shape. The class was a gift and I loved it, I’d definitely be back if I had more time.
