Hey! Heb je altijd al piano willen leren spelen maar weet je niet goed waar te beginnen? Of misschien wil je juist je pianospel naar een hoger niveau tillen? In beide gevallen kan je bij mij terecht voor piano- en theorielessen op jouw maat! Ben je eerder fan van pop-/jazzmuziek dan van klassiek? Ook hier kunnen we gerust voor zorgen! Als jonge student sta ik vaak dichter bij de praktijk van het lesgeven en kan ik aanvoelen waar het doel van de student ligt.
Zeer flexibel doorheen de week en het weekend, zowel bij de student thuis, bij mij aan de vleugel of eventueel online (vooral muziektheorie).

Geen voorkennis vereist, indien bij de student thuis is er liefst een (akoestische) piano aanwezig.

Who I am?

I had a great interest in music since my childhood and I knew that its the only way for me. I am a classical pianist with 17 years of experience. I am graduate of Prague Conservatory and Conservatory Jsroslav Jezek, from where I obtained the college degree. I am as well alumni of Conservatori Liceu (Barcelona, Spain). After two years of BA music degree at Consrvatori Liceu, I switched to Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, where I am pursuing my university degree currently.

During my tenure I have participated in many competitions, such as The Wiener Klassik International Competition in Vienna, Sergei Prokofiev's International Piano Competition in Prague, International Piano Competition in Cøpenhagen, Györ and many more.
Also, I am active as a concertmaster. Some of the highlights are, concerts in Belgium(Brussels, Namur), Prague, Cøpenhagen, Vienna, Györ, Barcelona, Badalona and Nürnberg. Furthermore I am an active chamber musician.

I am giving private lessons since 2013.

Lessen in piano, klavecimbel en historische en moderne cello, met een programma en repertoire dat is aangepast aan de doelstellingen en het tempo van elke leerling, jong, oud of volwassen, voor een algemene introductie tot deze instrumenten, ter voorbereiding op het hoger muziekonderwijs, als aanvullend hulpmiddel voor examens aan muziekacademies, of als hobby, of voor het maken van amateurmuziek in groepsverband, of voor het ontwikkelen van kwaliteiten als concentratie, coördinatie, discipline, uitdrukkingsvermogen, stijlbewustzijn en muziekgeschiedenis.
In mijn lessen vertrouw ik vooral op oude traditionele methoden, boeken en repertoire, die hun efficiëntie in de loop der tijd hebben bewezen. Ik maak ook gebruik van de onderwijstraditie van partimenti van de oude Napolitaanse conservatoria - oefeningen voor het componeren die al vroeg kunnen worden toegepast. Dit voegt niet alleen een creatief element toe, al snel na het begin, maar leert ook via oefening de basisbeginselen van harmonie en polyfonie.
Indien de student dit wenst, kunnen de lessen gecombineerd worden (+30 min.) met theorie/solfege (gehoortraining).

Mijn naam is Joris, ik ben saxofonist en dirigent.
Als saxofonist behaalde ik een Master diploma met grote onderscheiding aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, won de tweede prijs op de nationale Lion's European Music Competition en speelde al als solist bij orkesten zoals de Royal Symphonic Band of the Belgian Guides.
Momenteel volg ik een Master in Theorie en Directie Muziek aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel.
Ik ben begonnen met dirigeren toen ik 18 was en hoogtepunten uit mijn carrière tot nu toe zijn een selectie als een van de slechts 24 kandidaten voor de dirigentenwedstrijd op het Wereld Muziek Concours Kerkrade afgelopen zomer. Verder heb ik de kans gehad om te werken met professionele orkesten zoals MAV Symphony in Boedapest, de North Czech Philharmonic, de President's Own United States Marine Band, het Belgrade Chamber Orchestra en andere.

Wil je lessen bij mij volgen, neem dan gerust contact met mij op. Ik ben een heel logisch persoon, ik analyseer altijd alles wat ik doe, wat het voor mij heel gemakkelijk maakt om iets wat ik heb geleerd aan anderen te onderwijzen en uit te leggen. A native of Rio de Janeiro, Felipe Olivé began his piano studies under the guidance of Professor Marcilda Clis. Upon entering UNIRIO, he started taking lessons with the pianist and composer Claudio Dauelsberg. He holds a degree in piano from the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe in Germany, where he was a student of Professor Kaya Han. He spent 2 years in Portugal, where he taught at the Academia de Música de Almada. He also received guidance from Professor and pianist Manuel Araújo of the Academia Internacional de Música Aquilles Delle Vigne in Coimbra. Currently, he is pursuing a Master's degree in Piano Performance at LUCA School of Arts in Belgium, with the renowned pianist Sylvia Thereza as his teacher.

He has been awarded in national and international competitions, such as the VII Sardoal Young Talent Award (2nd Prize - ex-aequo in the Piano Solo category; 2nd Prize and Best Portuguese Duo in the Piano Duo category), the Prof. Dichler-Competition 2022 in Vienna (2nd Prize - ex aequo in the Piano Duo category), the I National Piano Competition of the Villa-Lobos Music School (Honorable Mention) in Rio de Janeiro, and the XXVI Souza Lima Piano Competition (Honorable Mention) in São Paulo.

His classes are intended for anyone who wants to start learning music theory and piano or those who already have basic or advanced knowledge. From Classical to Popular music, his teaching method adapts to the goals and individual desires of the student. During the classes, music theory is taught either concurrently or separately from practice, and the repertoire to be played is chosen collaboratively with the student.

Felipe has years of experience as a concert pianist and teacher in academies and music schools. He seeks the most suitable approach for each student, respecting their learning pace, helping overcome difficulties, and exploring their strengths, always encouraging progress.

A native of Rio de Janeiro, Felipe Olivé began his piano studies under the guidance of Professor Marcilda Clis. Upon entering UNIRIO, he started taking lessons with the pianist and composer Claudio Dauelsberg. He holds a degree in piano from the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe in Germany, where he was a student of Professor Kaya Han. He spent 2 years in Portugal, where he taught at the Academia de Música de Almada. He also received guidance from Professor and pianist Manuel Araújo of the Academia Internacional de Música Aquilles Delle Vigne in Coimbra. Currently, he is pursuing a Master's degree in Piano Performance at LUCA School of Arts in Belgium, with the renowned pianist Sylvia Thereza as his teacher.

He has been awarded in national and international competitions, such as the VII Sardoal Young Talent Award (2nd Prize - ex-aequo in the Piano Solo category; 2nd Prize and Best Portuguese Duo in the Piano Duo category), the Prof. Dichler-Competition 2022 in Vienna (2nd Prize - ex aequo in the Piano Duo category), the I National Piano Competition of the Villa-Lobos Music School (Honorable Mention) in Rio de Janeiro, and the XXVI Souza Lima Piano Competition (Honorable Mention) in São Paulo.

His classes are intended for anyone who wants to start learning music theory and piano or those who already have basic or advanced knowledge. From Classical to Popular music, his teaching method adapts to the goals and individual desires of the student. During the classes, music theory is taught either concurrently or separately from practice, and the repertoire to be played is chosen collaboratively with the student.

Felipe has years of experience as a concert pianist and teacher in academies and music schools. He seeks the most suitable approach for each student, respecting their learning pace, helping overcome difficulties, and exploring their strengths, always encouraging progress.

D'abord, vous allez apprendre à jouer par mémoire et par quelques astuces faciles, ensuite vous allez apprendre à jouer avec des partitions que j'écrirai personnellement pour les adapter parfaitement à votre niveau!

J'ai appris en étant 12 ans à l'académie classique et en donnant des cours depuis presque 10 ans, qu'au final, c'est les étudiants passionnés par les morceaux qu'ils jouent, qui vont devenir des bons pianistes.
En option supplémentaire, je propose des cours de composition et d'harmonie, afin d'assurer qu'étape par étape, vous arrivez à composer des petites morceaux jusqu'à des arrangements à plusieurs instruments.

My name is Jose and I am currently an Artist in Residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Waterloo. I offer piano lessons for children as well as adults (beginners, advanced, and professional musicians). I am particularly interested in bringing musically passionate people closer to both classical and popular music (gladly also in German or in Spanish).

My primary goal is to bring out each individual’s personality through music. My teaching methods are adapted to different age groups, focusing on building a personal connection and collaboration.
