Trusted teacher: I have a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and currently I work as a post-doc researcher in aerospace Engineering faculty of TU Delft. I have ample experience in teaching all the courses related to Engineering such as mathematics (algebra, probability, calculus, differential equations, and advanced engineering mathematics), Mechanical engineering courses (Statics, Dynamics, Mechanics of materials, Mechanical design, control, vibration, Fluid mechanics, Thermodynamics, Heat transfer, Engineering drawing, etc), Physics (mechanics, electricity, light, waves, etc), CAD/CAM software (Autocad, Solidworks), and Mechanical design packages (ANSYS, ABAQUS, MATLAB, LS-DYNA). Not all the teachers are good at teaching Engineering and Mathematics courses and informing the students about the importance of what they are learning. That is why mathematical based engineering courses (such as Statics or Strength of Materials) are mostly boring for the students. The other problem that many students have with courses with strong mathematical background is that their mathematical basis is weak and therefore they cannot follow the course. I usually try to start my course from the basics and therefore actively engage as many students as possible in the class (even the weak ones). I also usually try to inform the students about the importance of what they are learning in the class by giving them some examples. This makes them more inspired and interested into what they are learning. If you have extra questions before starting a class, don't hesitate to ask me :)

Trusted teacher: I am a 28-year old guitarist, songwriter and composer based in Den Haag, songwriting, composition, electric and acoustic guitar, in combination with music theory. I teach in English or in Greek. I am half Greek and half Scottish and I have been living in the Netherlands for the last 4 years. I offer lessons in all styles, to all age groups, and for any experience level (ranging from students who have never written a song before, up to experienced songwriters who are looking for fresh ideas and improving their skills to really make their songs shine). Face to face lessons are preferable, but I also teach online. I am a patient and open minded teacher, and my desire is to help you learn what you want to learn, and make sure you enjoy and take pride in your songs, learn to express your musical ideas as best as possible and nurture your curiosity and excitement about the world of music creation ! My Credentials: I hold a Bachelors of Music degree from Birmingham Conservatoire (UK), and a Masters of Music from The Hague Royal Conservatory. My experience as a songwriter and composer ranges from writing songs and singing in indie / off-beat rock bands, solo guitar and vocal performances, home-production of my own songs, creation of instrumental post-rock music, collaborative songwriting in bands, composition of works for classical players, creation of ambient, experimental and electronic music, creation of music for film, and I even some experience in beat-making. I have written songs, I have written orchestra pieces, I have worked as a DIY home producer, I have released albums, and I've performed in concert halls, rock venues, squats and festivals. I My music has been performed in and has taken me to several countries, including Portugal, The Czech Republic, The U.S.A., Canada, Korea, Greece, The U.K., The Netherlands. My Teaching style: My emphasis is to teach you based on your interests and your needs. The lessons are based around each individual student. You bring me the music you are creating and the skills you want to develop as a songwriter, and I build my lessons around that. My primary goal is help you develop your voice as a songwriter, so the starting point for our lessons will always be your music, and then I build our lessons around that. My aim is always to help you find what the heart of the song is about, and help you to bring this out and really make it shine. To help illustrate ideas about topics we discuss I will bring examples that can help inform the music you are creating, we will explore ideas of arrangement, orchestration, band leading and / or production to help flesh out your songs, and we will explore music theory too when that is helpful for us and / or if that is interesting to you. For more experienced songwriters we can explore how to write parts for other players, how to notate and orchestrate songs for acoustic instruments, how to record songs, or how to get the best playing out of your bandmates to help your song shine

Trusted teacher: I'm a native English speaker from the USA, living in Rotterdam. In my job as an engineer, I regularly help colleagues with their written and spoken English. I'm available to help you practice English on a regular basis on weeknights. I specialize in working with students in professional or technical fields who are interested in refining their English writing and speaking skills. I also speak fluent Dutch, as well as some Spanish and French, so I'm familiar with common English mistakes and understand what's causing them. Examples of lessons: - Reviewing written documents together, and identifying recurring errors (work emails, proposals, reports, etc.). - General conversation practice, and presentation practice. I will listen, take notes, and provide feedback on pronunciation and grammar, while we discuss various topics. - Practice speaking exercises in preparation for IELTS exams. - Assistance with job applications (reviewing English CVs and cover letters). I do not teach beginners courses in English, as I have a full-time job and this would require longer/more intensive lessons. If you're interested, I'd love to hear a bit more about what you'd like to learn, so I can tailor the lessons to your needs: - What is your previous experience with English? - Why are you improving your English? - Do you have any specific goals? (e.g. certain topics you would like to be able to speak/write about) For our first lesson we can meet at a cafe/park/library/online, and after that we can chose the location that makes the most sense.

Trusted teacher: Dear reader, musician, music lover, friend, my name is Dorota, I am a musician and flutist currently based in the Hague, Netherlands. I offer modern flute and baroque flute (a.k.a. traverso) lessons for children and adults of any age, from beginners until advanced levels. The lessons can be taught as individual or group lessons either in person or in an online form. In my lessons, I focus on building and/or further developing a good technical base, with a special focus on sound and supporting your own musicality, and any individual musical needs. Furthermore, I support building good physical awareness while playing. Apart from the modern and baroque flute, I can offer beginner classes of recorder, and musical coaching(s) for smaller or bigger chamber groups. If you are interested to take lessons with me or have any further questions, please be welcome to contact me. I am looking forward to meeting you! Something about myself: I come from Slovakia where I started with music lessons as a child, first playing the recorder, and later continued with the modern flute, graduating at the high school focused on music studies. A few years ago I came to continue my studies in the Netherlands. I completed my bachelor's degree at the Conservatorium of Amsterdam, and recently graduated my master's degree at The Royal Conservatory of The Hague, both with a specialization in baroque flute performance. Apart from music, I am very passionate about movement and dance and have taken various courses and workshops, that have helped me build my own body awareness, which I find very important for playing and performing as a musician. I would be very happy to pass on and share my knowledge further.

Violin and music theory lessons for people of all ages and levels in Den Haag (The Hague)
Yulia
I like Yulia, my 8 yrs old daughter likes Yulia and here is why: she's the best violin tutor my daughter has had! My daughter is very active and we have had two tutors before and she got on well with the previous tutors on a "fun" level, yet she hardly made time to play violin and each tutoring session became a play date and practicing on violin was a struggle. With Yulia, my daughter actually plays violin now and she's starting to enjoy classical music as well. I find Yulia naturally engaging and for my daughter learning music with Yulia becomes an automatic flow, so she hardly notices that she's had a "long" violin lesson. Now we look forward to seeing Yulia every week!

Violin for everyone! Repertoire provided. ABRSM/Trinity possible (The Hague)
Mario
Mauro created the energetic vibe right the moment I stepped into the class. I studied violin with other teacher before and Mauro helped me out transit smoothly to the new teacher with his teaching method. I really like doing scales with Etude, adding much more musicality. He also observed closely when I played and helped me improve each small details. I really appreciated that. Last but not least, the studio is equipped with piano as well and I enjoyed practicing duo with Mauro either with two violins or violin-piano.

Paul
Paul is a professional with a high standaards and a deep understanding for the english language. He makes sure that the lessons are tailored to your needs and that you make progress. He has a comforting way of teaching, since practicing a foreign language can be a bit scary.
