English is a world language. You can go almost everywhere with English. That is why it is important that you have some command of English and that you can make yourself understood. And that is what I am for, helping people, young or old, to learn English or improve their English. Method: First I make an assessment of aptitude for, and existing knowledge of, English for each student. During teaching I find the following elements important: 1. Creating a friendly and pleasant atmosphere in which the student starts to feel enthusiastic. 2. Discipline. This means that the course leader and the student (s) do what is expected of them. 3. From simple to complicated, tailored to the aptitude and experience of the student (s). 4. Practicing a lot and repeating previous lessons. 5. Structured work. This mainly means working on the grammar of English because grammar gives structure to a language. 6. Regular keys.

I have been a teacher for over 30 years, and I gained experience in teaching Polish as a foreign language at the People's University (Volksuniversiteit) in The Hague (Netherlands). Since 2015 I have been teaching Polish to adults from different backgrounds at this university. I am a teacher with language teaching preparation, which means that I am prepared to conduct Polish lessons as a foreign or second language Moreover, children from Polish-Dutch families were or currently are participants in my private and group lessons at a Saturday school in the Netherlands. Given my disciplined, reliable and professional attitude, I am happy to take up any challenge in teaching Polish as a foreign language. I use simple yet effective teaching methods such as a focus on direct contact with the language, natural acquisition of vocabulary and grammar or frequent repetition of language material. During my lessons I mainly use the tools and materials from various publishers. Being a teacher gives me great satisfaction, especially when I see students ambitiously continue their language learning and try to use and expand their knowledge at every interaction with the Polish society.

About myself From the age of six I followed piano education. I studied classical piano at the Conservatory of St. Petersburg and then classical singing at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. Along with my singing career I accompany various choirs and singers. I have many years of experience in teaching piano to both children and adults, for beginners and advanced players. How do I teach piano During class my students get the basics of piano technique, music theory and an introduction to different music styles. Lesson for children I introduce starting children from 6 years old to the piano by playing and singing at the same time. Then we quickly switch to piano books such as the Thompson method. You learn to read notes, rhythms, correct piano touch and posture so that you can quickly play your favorite piece of music. Do you want to apply for admission to the conservatory or do you want to play in a band? I can help you prepare for auditions. Lesson for adults Advanced children and adults follow an individual program depending on personal wishes and level. The pleasure and happiness of making music are central. House concerts and stage student concerts. During the festive concerts you will have the opportunity to play for others and hear different music from other students. German, English, and arithmetic/mathematics tutoring at your home/online (primary and secondary education): I can come to a location that suits you best, for example at your home, so that your child can learn in a familiar environment. However, doing the lesson online is also an option! What are we going to do? - We go through the school material together, at a pace that suits you. - I help with homework and prepare your child for tests Where something is not yet clear, I explain it in a patient manner. - For younger children I work with games and songs, for older students with targeted exercises - In language classes, we practice vocabulary, grammar, reading, speaking, and listening, - In arithmetic and mathematics, we practice until it clicks! Who do I teach? Primary school children (groups 3 to 8) and students in the lower years of secondary education (first year to third year). What does a lesson look like? Together, we look at what your child needs and set a goal. Then, we work specifically on the material, with plenty of room for questions and explanations. What else do I do? Please feel free to let me know which method or book your child is using and where they are struggling. I will then prepare the lesson so we can start right away.
