During the lessons, I combine the theoretical aspect of the language, essential for speaking correctly, with the practical aspect, which allows one to express oneself understandably and to interact effectively with native speakers, while maintaining a certain critical distance from both. Thanks to my experience in Japanese interpretation and my stays in Japan, I can convey a natural and spontaneous approach to the language. The course focuses on grammar, vocabulary, and writing (kanji). Starting from the perspective of a speaker of an Indo-European language, it aims to allow learners to acquire the structure of Japanese naturally, freeing them from any unconscious biases related to their native language. I also pay particular attention to the link between written and spoken language – an often surprising aspect in Japanese – so as not to separate these two dimensions.
