My lessons are adapted to each student’s goals, level, and musical interests, combining structure with flexibility. I aim to create a positive and supportive learning environment based on patience, curiosity, and motivation. About me: My name is Uma and I am originally from Spain. I have been living in The Hague for the past five years. After completing a Bachelor’s degree in Modern Flute in Madrid and a Master’s degree in Zürich, I recently finished a Bachelor’s degree in Early Music and historical flutes at the Koninklijk Conservatorium The Hague. I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Music Education, which allows me to continuously refine my teaching approach. I have more than 10 years of teaching experience and enjoy encouraging curiosity while adapting lessons to each student’s interests and needs. All ages and levels are welcome, and I strive to make learning music both structured and fun. Hi, my name is Galit and I am a professional recorder player. I have been performing in various ensembles and venues around Europe and Israel, playing baroque, medieval, renaissance and contemporary music which is the vast repertoire of the recorder. I graduated from the Amsterdam Conservatory and the Royal Conservatory of the Hague. I have been teaching in various platforms for over 20 years and I adapt the lessons to your needs, wishes and level. During our lessons I will teach you the skill set of mastering the recorder. Obtaining good technique, working on good posture and healthy breathing along side learning about the instrument and it's history. Learning to play the recorder is an opportunity to expend your horizons, be creative and learn the art of listening. Do you like music? Are you thinking about playing the flute? Or are you already a flute player and you wish to become advanced? Do you need someone to help you to prepare for music exams? I am offering lessons in playing the traverse modern flute as well as historical flutes and music theory at any level, from the beginner to the professional. This course, based on more than 10 years of experience in teaching, offers private lessons where everyone can find their unique contact with their instrument, deepen their relationship with music and develop a unique way of expressing themselves through music making. I teach from international method books and adjust my methods to the individual needs of each student. Taking two courses of the Alexander technique also helped me to develop an understanding of the essential connection between the body and our minds. This awareness can be very helpful not only for our musical performances, but also for our everyday lives. Hello everybody, I am Reiko. I teach flute and baroque transverse flute. The flute is a well-known, popular instrument, but what is a baroque transverse flute!? It is a wooden flute that was played in the 17th and the 18th centuries (roughly) in Europe, so if you are curious how the pieces of J. S. Bach or G. F. Handel sounded at the time they were composed, you can take lessons with baroque transverse flute! Ever since I first encountered the flute, in my elementary school in Japan, it has been the biggest passion of my life. I studied modern flute and other historical flutes in Toho Gakuen School of Music in Tokyo, Japan, then there followed a Master’s degree in Early Music from the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague. Playing the flute is fun and discovering beautiful music through the flute is a wonderful experience. I would like to guide you to find the best way for you. I work with young people and older adults, beginners, and experienced musicians. -Experiment and Explore- In my lessons, I teach/explain the basics, then students begin experimenting, with my help. How to hold a flute, breathe, practice – to discover what is comfortable and works well for each person. How to use the body and how to approach the music. And we will explore the Why together. Are you telling a story with the piece? What are you expressing with a flute? Can you learn something about yourself with this practice? I will help you while you learn. I am your guide and your coach, and I go with you towards your goal. Do you think you don’t have time to learn to play the flute? Don’t be afraid to try it first; you can always start. You can always stop. You think you don’t have time to practice, but there are moments every day – just 20 minutes is enough – to improve on your own over time, and I will show you how. Enjoy the flute bit by bit. Bonus: We can play together, in person, or even via zoom. I call it “zoom karaoke.” Playing together gives your learning a boost.

I enjoy teaching both harp and flute at my studio in Worthing and also offer lessons online. I studied at The Royal Academy of Music, London graduating with a first-class Master's degree and an LRAM music teaching qualification. Learning an instrument is a very rewarding and enjoyable experience and I teach students of all ages and abilities from complete beginner to advanced levels. Music theory will be integrated into the lessons and you will have the opportunity to take part in performances and work towards graded exams if you wish to do so or just play for fun! Each lesson will be tailored to the individual pupil’s needs, level, and style. I teach a wide variety of musical styles including Classical, Celtic, Pop, Jazz, and more!
