Bonjour ! Je m'appelle Juliette. I'm a French student who graduated from the Sorbonne and I came to Amsterdam (UvA) to continue my studies. I'm well experienced with teaching as I teach private lessons for middle and high-schoolers since I'm 14.
I'm a language lover. I obviously know french very well since it's my mother tongue, but I'm also fluent in english.
I'm also very fond of pedagogy: I will be there to accompany your child in her/his studies, whether she/he has some difficulties in class or wants to attain a higher level.
I can also teach adults and prepare to exams such as DELF or DALF.
I have a French bachelor in philosophy and a master's degree in political and ethical philosophy. I graduated with honors and high honors.
I've also passed the TOEFL with a score of 108/120.
In total, I must have taught more than 200 hours since I started.

Hi! My name is Joana and I am originally from Luxembourg. Growing up in Luxembourg allowed me to be fluent in our three national languages: Luxembourgish, French and German (Native Proficiency).
After graduating from high school with a specialisation in modern languages and humanities, I moved to the United Kingdom to study Journalism. Living in London for over three years allowed me to perfect my written and spoken English. Since I've been 16, I have been giving private tutoring lessons both to primary and secondary school students.

This class is for anyone interested in learning French from scratch or improving their current level. My aim is to provide my students with a strong foundation of the French language (grammar and vocabulary) but also a flavour of French culture. I assign homework every lesson and provide periodic progress reports. I tailor the lesson and homework content and the method of teaching to the student to make sure everyone has the chance to learn at their own pace. Ultimately though, I want my students to be able to comfortably chat in French and develop a love of this beautiful language.

Nowadays a good command of English is useful and often even necessary. We come in contact with the language almost everywhere, in school, on television, the internet, in conversations.

As a native German speaker I once had to learn the language as well and I know how challenging it can be. I already majored in English at school. After school, I went to a language school in the United States in order to prepare for the TOEFL language certificate. Thereafter I started a bachelor program which was held entirely in English. During my studies I learnt a lot about academic writing practices.
Often, the lessons in school focus on grammar and vocabulary failing to to convey a basic understanding of the language. Conversation and writing fall short as well.

I am offering lessons for children and teenagers. My goal is to support their learning experience in an engaging way. We will discuss what you need and how I can help you. Be it a basic introduction, grammar or conversational training. I also offer proofreading.

Lessons can also be taught via Skype.

My student-centred, needs-based classes are exclusively aimed at committed advanced teenagers and young adults who wish to improve their EN language skills and excel. Having started teaching when I was 15 (seriously!), I take pride in knowing what students want and need, relating to them and meeting, if not exceeding, their expectations.
I have taught in Greece, Spain and the UK in a British Council-accredited school. Along with my 15-year experience, I have obtained CELTA and have also acquired a Postgraduate (Level 7) Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (DipTESOL). I specialise in teaching Levels B2 to C2, including Cambridge exam classes (IELTS, FCE, CAE) because I love challenges. Do you?

Spanish and French are my mother tongues. I have been teaching for many years in my spare time either in the evenings or during weekends. I simply like to do it and enjoy helping people of all ages either to start talking or reaching a good level. I use grammar books but also online exercises or games on paper depending on the needs and profile of the student.

Does your child have trouble with math, language or spelling? Or has your child fallen behind due to Corona? Then I will gladly help him/her. By practicing extra and doing this in a fun playful way, you will notice that your child learns a lot from this and also enjoys it. I tutor children between the ages of 6 and 12. I can help NT2 children to learn the Dutch language. I work in special education myself, so I have experience with children with, for example, concentration problems or autism.

I also do homework help. I will then help your child to plan and do homework. This is useful, for example, in first grade when children have to get used to the way of working in secondary school.
