I am a native English and Italian speaker, and I have worked as a tutor and language teacher over the past ten years, while also studying History and Cultural Heritage. My experience includes teaching English language courses at different levels, preparing for language exams, conversation practice, as well as text translation and correction. My past customers range from teenage and adult students, to young and older professionals.
As an instructor and teacher, I offer:
• Lessons at all levels: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced.
• A multi-faceted approach, which covers: conversation practice, text comprehension, grammar, writing, academic and professional vocabulary.
• Training in Professional/Business English.
• Preparation for language tests: FCE and CAE Cambridge tests, IELTS, SATs.
• Conversation practice (tailored to the needs of the student).
• Text translation and proofreading.
Approach - I always encourage the student to develop a personal connection to the language by exploring personal interests in English. In my lessons, I favour a practical approach (real-life situations) and use texts, videos and conversation to elicit grammar rules and vocabulary. When necessary, the lesson is focused on grammar rules and the correct use of language. This positive approach, along with regular practice, will definitely improve your English and keep it active in the long term.

I am a native English and Italian speaker and in the last ten years I have had different teaching positions, including holding English language courses, preparing for language exams and training adults in Business English. I have also held Italian language lessons and taught high school students Chemistry, Physics and Maths.
Currently based in Amsterdam, I was raised in Italy in a mixed Italian and American family, while later studying in both the UK and the Netherlands. I have recently completed a Master’s in Cultural Heritage at the University of Amsterdam and my interests range from modern and contemporary history, to architecture, art and films.
As for other foreign languages, I understand French and Spanish at an intermediate level, and have a basic understanding of Dutch.
