My name is Alinka and I am a violin / viola teacher based in Basel, Switzerland. I welcome students of all ages, whether you are getting started on a violin for the very first time, or to coming back to it after many years. I provide lessons catered to each individual, and am keen to help you on your musical journey! I like to combine building basic technical foundations with helping someone to connect with their own artistic expression. With children, I make lessons fun and interactive as they learn the basics of playing. I graduated from the Musik Akademie Basel with a distinction in my Masters, and have performed all over Europe in renowned concert halls and festivals. I love teaching, getting to know students and helping them develop. I have years of experience and am dedicated to what I do. I look forward to hearing from you!

I love to play and to teach my instrument. I play in different Orchestras, classical chamber music, and I improvise in contemporary music with body movement. I worked a lot on the body position while playing, which I think is very important in order to release tension in the muscles and feel freer with the instrument. Hei! I come from a beautiful fjord in Norway called Ryfylke and recently moved to Dreiländereck in Ötlingen, a village overlooking the vineyards. My teaching experience ranges from beginners to advanced. I am a dedicated, passionate teacher who loves to pass on my knowledge of music. I believe the essence of teaching is to encourage the artist within to focus on expression and experience the connection to oneself. Music for me is all about connecting to your own feelings and inner world, and finding a way to share this with other artists and listeners. I guide you to discover yourself, your inner voice that constitutes the artist you are. My name is Daniela, and I am a cross-over violist from Costa Rica. I moved to the Netherlands in 2020 to pursue my studies at Codarts Conservatory in Rotterdam, where I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Classical Music (Viola). I am currently continuing my journey at Codarts with a Master's degree in Latin Music. During my time in the Netherlands, I have been part of a wide range of musical projects across different genres — from classical orchestras and chamber music to pop, jazz, and world music collaborations. I've performed with ensembles such as the Jong Metropole and recorded with various pop, jazz, and fusion bands. I am also the bandleader of my own Latin project, La Reunión, and work as a freelance musician with diverse musical groups. Before moving to the Netherlands, I studied Music Education at the University of Costa Rica and worked for several years as a private teacher. I have experience teaching violin and viola to both children and adults. As a teacher, I am kind and patient. I believe in the value of consistent, focused work and in helping students grow step by step. I aim to make the learning process feel easy and fun!

DURATION OF THE COURSE AND ITS CONDUCT: Methods adapted to the objectives / desires of the student. My mission: Make learning simple but effective in order to focus on pleasure. The courses are not on the watch. Thus, the student can choose to end the course only when he considers having obtained enough lessons but also to determine the duration in advance if he has imperatives. MY METHOD I adapt my pedagogy according to the student.
