I have a rather atypical background since I did not go through the music school and/or Conservatory box. I started music 10 years ago with a teacher in private lessons, then I pushed my curiosity solo by participating in different orchestras and formations (quartet to septet in classical, and quartet in contemporary music/video games). I also taught cello for a year at the MJC of Verdun-sur-Garonne, as well as in private lessons for a few years. My approach is as follows: I accompany the student throughout their desires (want to do classical, jazz? prepare for an audition? work on a particular piece? work on orchestral pieces?). I also offer a structured framework: I want to emphasize technique (inherent in the cello as in music via music theory/listening), because I am convinced that it is by having good technique that one can express oneself best in music. Don't worry! If I have a firm approach, I am nonetheless very flexible: an instrument like the cello requires a lot of patience, mistakes are therefore a necessary step, so you might as well laugh about it and persevere!
