Your kind words and detailed feedback mean the world to me and encourage me to continue sharing my passion for music. - About the Negative Comment - Regarding the only negative review: The student in question missed their first class due to sleeping in. Despite the platform's policy stating that no refunds are given for unannounced absences, I offered to provide a free replacement class at my earliest availability after the busy holiday season. Unfortunately, the student declined the date I proposed and suggested days that were outside my schedule. I had to suspend communication due to other commitments. On the initially proposed date—which had not been confirmed—the student expected a class and subsequently left a negative review. As a courtesy, I even refunded part of the fees (except for the non-refundable registration fee). - My Commitment and My Expectations - I am committed to providing high-quality lessons at an affordable price, supported by my professional experience and access to a new Yamaha YUS5 piano. My goal is to make music accessible to those who love it. In return, I ask that students respect my time and effort by adhering to agreed-upon schedules and communication practices. Thank you for your understanding and continued support. Together, we can create a positive and respectful learning and growth environment. _________ - Thank you to my students - I want to start by expressing my heartfelt gratitude to all my students who have taken the time to leave me thoughtful and positive reviews. Trusted teacher: Former student of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, editor-in-chief of the magazine Avant-Scène Opéra, editor for the Philharmonie du Luxembourg, I offer you the following lessons. Music theory and musical culture are essential tools for understanding and making music. Music theory, because it allows you to master the technical tools that allow you to make music, is fundamental for anyone who wants to progress in their instrument. Musical culture makes it possible to understand what goes on in music beyond the technique. From this knowledge (established over a lot of listening) we can develop an interpretation and go beyond technical issues. For music theory lessons only, I constantly articulate the different musical parameters (rhythm, intonation, ear, etc.) and draw my training from the repertoire, which has the advantage of making music from the start. Small technical exercises also allow you to focus on one or the other parameter, but the perspective remains mainly that of a global approach placing the music at the center. As far as musical culture is concerned, I use each of my professional experiences (Musicologist, playwright and music critic) to transmit my knowledge to you. Thus we will approach the history of music through works (history of forms and languages), interpretation and places of music. It is mainly through the study of documents (texts of musical criticism, iconography, scores, musical instruments...) that transmission takes place. Knowledge completes and informs this documentary study. Finally the study of document and the erudition have only one goal: to enlighten the listening of the works which I place at the heart of my teaching.

Trusted teacher: Hello, If the method is right, anyone can do it! It is with this spirit that I give my cello lessons, and I live with great pleasure to see my students progress every week with this magnificent instrument! Have you been hesitating about starting the cello for a while? Do you dream of playing the prelude to Bach's first suite or a melody you've heard played on the cello? or do you just want to enjoy the magnificent sound of this instrument? Malaysian cellist, in France for 12 years, I graduated from DEM at the Paris Regional Conservatory and from the Performance Diploma at the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris, I am currently studying in the concert cycle at the Paris Regional Conservatory. This is why I know the French and Asian working method well and I love the exchanges between Asian music and European music, and it is with pride that I offer you my cello lessons. Before going even further, I would like to share with you my cello learning journey. I was born in a small town in the south of Malaysia, where there weren't many music teachers, although I knew I wanted to play cello very early, I only had the chance to 'finally started the cello when I was 15, and then when I came to France I realized that I was a lot behind my classmates... This is why I wanted to find a very effective way to learn the instrument, I was lucky to have superb teachers who helped me progress and since then I have passed the competition for '' entered the CRR in Paris (being much older than my classmates), I graduated from the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris and even better I did a lot of concerts, I participated in master's class and I even passed competitions to play as an academic / intern in orchestras. All this to tell you that there is no age to start, all that matters is motivation and a good learning method. I was certainly not the genius child but I knew how to adapt to have real results. Everything I learned, you can learn too, I have always loved sharing my passion for music and with years of teaching experience, I have helped my students as children, adult beginners or more advanced to have real progress and results... My teaching plan is firstly, to understand your objective, whatever it is to be able to play a specific piece or just to have fun with the instrument etc... then to establish a work plan which suits you well, and then help you step by step until you reach your goal. And I truly believe that anyone can succeed with a well-established plan. I try to vary between the Suzuki method and the classical studies of Feuillard etc, I also arrange the pop music or film music according to your desires. For beginners, I try to help you establish a very solid basic technique so that you can progress quickly but with a lot of rigor. For the advanced amateurs, I try to work more in the musicality and to play works in different styles. I teach in French, English or Mandarin. I can also gladly give you advice on renting / buying a cello. Looking forward to reading you ! Dawei

Trusted teacher: Hello and welcome ! My name is Charlotte, I am a singing teacher and professional opera singer. I graduated from the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris at the highest level with honours and I have a Masters in Opera Singing from the Trinity Laban Conservatoire in London, where I have won several prizes. I am the recipient of a prestigious scholarship from the Malvina and Denise Menda Foundation of the Fondation de France. I also have a BA in Art History from the University of Cambridge and an MA in Art History from the Courtauld Institute. I teach the principles of vocal technique that form the basis of all singing styles: finding an ideal posture and alignment of the body and the air column and eliminating unnecessary tension; optimizing breathing and support (singing with the whole body); beauty and homogeneity of the voice in all registers (homogeneity especially in lyrical singing); clear and precise articulation in all languages. Of course, these bases adapt differently depending on the styles and offer keys to freeing the voice, and not to restricting the singer! My teaching is holistic and I take into account the whole person with great sensitivity. The voice is at the center of the body and mind, and singing unifies the two. I deeply believe in the well-being that singing brings and its power to release. My life as an artist began as a classical dancer (I was a dancer in the young dancers program at the Royal Opera House, London) and this taught me a good awareness of my body and how to transmit it to others. Singing is mastered by listening to one's body. I also practice meditation and yoga at a high level and I transmit these techniques of connection to the body and breath, and the state of relaxation that they bring. In my teaching, accuracy, solfege and precision are very important. I was first a violinist and I was a member of one of the prestigious choirs of the University of Cambridge during my degree. So I have a good ear that developed further during these trainings. Singing is above all communication and my mission is to allow everyone to express their authentic and unique voice. I am passionate about theater and the art of communicating our sincere emotions and those of the characters we play. Vocal technique gives us the means, but it is the connection to oneself and to the meaning of the music and the text that allows us to express ourselves fully and sincerely. It is a work that fascinates me as much as that of vocal technique. All the more so, the connection to emotion broadens the palette of colors of the voice, without which we can only produce beautiful sound. My classes usually last an hour. Typically, I start my classes with breathing exercises and body observation. We continue with warm-ups and vocalizations to work on technique. Then we work on the repertoire of your choice. I can also advise you on the repertoire of all styles. Looking forward to reading from you and working together!

Trusted teacher: Musician at the National Orchestra of Lille, I am passionate about pedagogy and transmission. My Violin, Viola and music theory lessons are suitable for and suitable for everyone. Generally lasting 1 hour, lessons can be structured in different ways according to individual needs. For the past ten years I have been giving lessons in Musical Training, violin and viola both with the aim of providing personalized support for students following courses in conservatories but also within the framework of a unique and adapted learning and for all levels. —————— Passionate, curious, and endowed with an artistic sensibility, the violist Julie is involved in many projects, both collective, innovative and educational. After having studied the viola with Michel Michalakakos, then in the class of David Gaillard and Nicolas Bone at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP) where she obtained her Bachelor's degree in June 2016, she perfected her Master's degree. in the class of Lawrence POWER at the Hochschule Zürich (ZHDK) She has already won several awards and prizes as a solo performer (Competition L. Bellan 2010, Contest Young Altistes 2011) but it is for the moment especially in collective experiences that it flourishes. She has, in fact, participated in numerous Festivals and Orchestral Academies of international dimension (French Youth Orchestra, Gustav Mahler Joung Orchestra, Schleswig Holstein Musik Festival, ...) and was a member of the Academy of the orchestra of the Zürich Opera. She collaborates today with several professional orchestras (Paris Opera, National Orchestra of France, Orchestra of Paris, Opera of Zürich, ...). This pleasure of artistic sharing is also part of her practice of chamber music: member of the trio Desdémone (Alto, Clarinet, Piano) with which she participated in several festivals, she also participated in Zermatt Music Festival Academy, (music of chamber and chamber orchestra) with musicians from the Berlin Philharmonic. She explores different formations and regularly performs in sets with different geometries, and in various artistic worlds (Jazz, improvised music, ...) It is in this common artistic vibration that Julie wants to pursue her career, she also wishes to transmit her passion through pedagogy and hopes to develop projects of cultural mediation and musical awareness. She is now a violist in the National Orchestra of Lille.

First, she is an excellent musician. Second she is a patient, and an understanding teacher, who by nature is going to try to do her best to help you out. You feel confident with her and you know you are not going to be humiliated and belittled. She is there to support you. After two years of learning music with Pr Yantong Lin, I can hardly imagine how much she "enriched my life". She made me discover the beauty and subtlety of the music. She made me think musically and not just play notes, and made me discover the "intellectual fondation and beauty of music" that is harmony. A new undiscovered world has been opened wide in front of me! Thank you Pr Yantong for your musical and teaching talents. Professeur à absolument découvrir et suivre!
