Trusted teacher: Hello, I have been a teacher of Germanic languages, English and Dutch in lower secondary schools for almost 6 years. I currently teach classical Dutch and English immersion in a secondary school in Liège. I have been confronted with many very different students. I have already been able to give lessons in general secondary English immersion, Dutch and non-immersion, technical, professional and in primary in both languages (NL/AN). I also went to Ghent for 5 months as part of my studies to improve my Dutch and deepen my knowledge of pronunciation. In addition, I am passionate about the United States and the English-speaking world in general. I have already been able to travel several times to the following English-speaking countries: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, ... My courses are aimed at primary and secondary school students (from 1st to 6th grade) and an adult audience to reach levels A1 A2 B1 B2 C1. I try to get the student to think about the subject independently and effectively. I apply reshuffling and induction techniques so that the student can understand for himself and reuse the learning seen. He must be an actor in his learning. I do all this with my good humor and my good manners. I also use digital technology like Quizlet, Genially, etc. to help the student learn. I also give as many tips as possible to master vocabulary and grammar. ("Mnemonic" sentences, ...). I give personal summaries during my lessons. Please do not hesitate to contact me if any problems arise. We must not wait until the last minute before taking action.

Trusted teacher: I offer you a new learning experience. The focus is on practical application and theory is only introduced where intuition reaches its limits. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced learner, my tailor-made lessons will accelerate your language acquisition in a positive learning environment. You can book a complete course with regular sessions or individual lessons to overcome a specific problem, such as pronunciation or a particular point in grammar. Learning a foreign language is not a linear process that consists of memorising a list of words, and speaking a foreign language is not an oral translation exercise. There are two types of approaches to acquiring knowledge: When asked what year follows 1999, you can immediately answer 2000 without having to think for a long time and, above all, without having memorised each number individually, starting with 1, 2, 3 ... You know that numbers are formed according to a certain pattern. With only ten digits, you can form an infinite number of numbers and always know which number comes next. When it comes to the alphabet, words and sentences, it's more or less the same, but school pedagogy, school textbooks and regular lessons still follow the rote learning approach. In the lessons I propose, you will learn to use patterns because this is more efficient and faster. Learning is easy, but unlearning bad habits is extremely difficult. This makes it all the more important to learn the right reflexes as early as possible. My offer is aimed at both young people and adults who want to learn German or improve their knowledge without wasting time on nonsensical school methods. I offer individual or group lessons for German. The methods are based on cognitive science and, in particular, comparative linguistics. My flexible programme can be tailored to your individual needs. The programme focuses on your independence in spontaneous conversations in real life. What is particularly important to me: motivating my students and help them establish a learning rhythm; encouraging their creativity; helping them become more familiar with the language; teaching them the letters and their sounds; strengthening their memory by training their phonological loop; teaching sentence building plans instead of memorising sentences; explaining how language works so that my students can become independent as quickly as possible. I look forward to meeting you.

Trusted teacher: I am a student of Teacher Training and a Higher Technician in Early Childhood Education, and my way of working is based on a clear idea: it is not about studying more, but about learning better. In my classes we work on: - Realistic organization and planning techniques - Comprehensive memorization methods (mind maps, outlines, visual separation of content...) - Concentration and time management techniques (Pomodoro Technique) - Reading comprehension and content synthesis - Strategic exam preparation What's a class like with me? I usually divide my classes into the following steps: - Initial analysis: we see how you are currently studying and detect difficulties. - Practical application: we work on a specific technique with real content from their subjects. - Guided practice: the student applies the technique with me to internalize it. - Final reflection: we evaluate what has worked and set goals for the week. How are my classes different from those of other teachers? - I work from a place of motivation and positive reinforcement. - I connect learning with real-life situations so that the student connects with reality and finds meaning in it. - I teach them to be independent, not dependent on the teacher when it comes to studying. - I integrate creative and dynamic tools typical of active learning. - I share educational content on social media, which keeps me up-to-date on innovative methodologies. Who are my classes aimed at? - They are starting to study more independently (primary school children) They try hard but they don't know how to study - They have organizational difficulties - They are easily distracted - They need to improve their academic performance - They want to gain autonomy and confidence, both in themselves and in their studies.

Kevin is a genius, who is capable of breaking down complex concepts into manageable, useful bits. If you think of a really large basket of vegetables and fruits. You know all the nutrients are good for you, but it would be tedious to try to eat it all raw. But then, you get a juicer or blender or 'Nutribullet', and juice all those vegetables and fruits into a refreshing smoothie. You can then drink that smoothie as quickly or slowly as you wish, and still get all the necessary nutrients... That's what Kevin can do - he juices all the complex intricacies of the German language into something you can understand and digest. His methods are unconventional, but very helpful in laying a proper foundation for a successful language learning journey. Very highly recommended.
