Hominids, Farming, and Amazing Cultures From Our Past: Ancient History from the Neolithic to Augustus, Ruler of Rome, 8 Lesson Course

Hominids, Farming, and Amazing Cultures From Our Past: Ancient History from the Neolithic to Augustus, Ruler of Rome, 8 Lesson Course

This 8 session (60 minutes each session) course is an overview of ancient history. The course begins with an overview of prehistory and will end (roughly) with the first emperor of Rome. By the course's end I hope to have given students an overview of the questions and debates facing scholarship in ancient history. Students can choose to either take all eight or have me teach the parts that they are most interested in (i.e just the Ancient Near East, or Ancient Greece, etc). We do not have to follow the order listed in the content breakdown. Throughout the course I will use maps to talk about the influence geography has played in these cultures and relevant social media clips from Youtube. To illustrate broad patterns, the following three databases will be recuring sources: the world history maps of Thomas Lessman at Historical World Maps - World History Atlas (https://worldhistorymaps.net/), the interactive Map of the Ancient World (https://www.worldhistory.org/map/), and maps from The Timemap of World History ( https://timemaps.com/). I look forward to our explorations together! Subject Breakdown Prehistory and Origin of Terms (1 class) Ancient Near East (3 classes) Ancient Greece (2 classes) Ancient Rome and Italian Peninsula (2 classes)

Primary, middle, and high school tutoring by a law student: methodical approach, confidence, and personalized support

Primary, middle, and high school tutoring by a law student: methodical approach, confidence, and personalized support

As a student of international and European law, I offer tutoring for primary, middle and high school students, according to their needs and difficulties. I can tutor students in various subjects, including French, English, history and geography, methodology, reading, writing, homework help, and test preparation. For high school students, I can also help with structuring ideas, improving writing skills, preparing presentations, developing argumentation skills, and organizing revision. My goal is to help students progress without pressure, by reviewing the basics, explaining things simply, and finding a learning method adapted to their pace. I place great importance on trust, because a student who feels listened to and understood is more likely to ask questions and progresses more easily. I have extensive experience in teaching and mentoring children. I have provided homework help, babysitting with academic support, private tutoring, music lessons, and English language instruction for children. These experiences have taught me to be patient, clear, caring, and to adapt my teaching style to each student's age and personality. I can offer regular support throughout the year, remedial work, occasional help before a test, or more comprehensive support to improve organizational skills. My goal is for the student to better understand their lessons, become more independent, and regain confidence in their abilities.

Support in history and geography // Personalized working method.

Support in history and geography // Personalized working method.

Thank you for visiting my profile! Here is my course offer, my strengths and information on my background. A question? Write to me! Until Secondary 3, I offer tutoring in all subjects, most often in mathematics and English (and therefore also: French, history, geography, working method for science, Latin and Dutch). From 4th to Rhéto, I still offer support in French, English, history and geography. Regardless of the student's year, I also help when preparing assignments, presentations and oral presentations. At the student's request, we can also take stock of the presence, diction and intonation for public speaking. MY ASSETS - Relaxed relationship - Student empowerment - Concentration and stress management - A top working method! WHO AM I? My name is Valérie and I am 31 years old. Multi-graduate, I remain an eternal student. Even when I was little, still at the beginning of my primary schooling, I was looking for ways to learn more easily. This search for rapid and effective study continued with me during secondary school, to which was added the challenge of following them in English immersion. The personal learning methods that I had developed took on even more meaning when the thick university syllabi piled up on my desk. As with everyone, university learning remained a challenge to overcome. However, my methods have allowed me to mix quantities of subjects over the years: political science, sociology, intercultural management, anthropology, museology... Versatile and jack of all trades, I have also followed various personal development training courses. , or even in art therapy. Today I am taking up a challenge that invites me to explore other ways of enriching myself and learning: I am starting my 3rd year at the Institute of Music and Pedagogy in Namur where I train in singing classic. These studies differ in many aspects from those I have accomplished so far. Therefore, they offer me the chance to seek to understand all the more how to adapt my methods to very diverse subjects. In this busy course, I have been giving private lessons for over 10 years. I am enriched by contact with the students and it is a wonderful reward to see them develop their own methods and rediscover their abilities and skills.

Learn History and Geography dynamically – Support to succeed in your exams, validate your year or simply enrich your knowledge

Learn History and Geography dynamically – Support to succeed in your exams, validate your year or simply enrich your knowledge

Learning History and Geography is not about memorizing dates at random, but about understanding the world as if it were one grand and exciting story. I offer 100% online one-hour private lessons, designed for all ages and levels. My goal is to make each session a pleasant, constructive, and stimulating experience, where curiosity takes precedence over boredom. My methodology: creativity and genuine personalization: - Associative memorization techniques: We leave aside rote learning. If you need to remember the Battle of Waterloo, we associate it with a powerful image or an everyday detail that activates your long-term memory; if rivers or terrain pose a problem, we create mnemonic devices and visual paths on the map so you never forget them again. - Creative writing as a tool: To truly understand an era or a crisis, we put ourselves in the shoes of its participants. Whether it's keeping the fictional diary of a soldier in the trenches of the First World War or imagining the manifesto of a merchant on the Silk Road, writing in the first person anchors concepts much more effectively than simply reading. - Tailor-made courses: Each student progresses at their own pace and aims for specific objectives. I analyze your strengths and areas for improvement in order to adapt the materials, examples, and pace of each session to your actual needs. Experience, listening skills and languages: - Demanding environments and supportive teaching: I have extensive experience working with students at risk of dropping out or exhibiting behavioral difficulties in specialized centers. This experience has taught me how to defuse frustration, reignite motivation in discouraged individuals, and maintain, in all circumstances, great patience, a constructive mindset, and a contagious positive attitude. - Multilingual profile: I have taught in Spanish, French, and English. I can therefore conduct classes entirely in one of these languages or offer bilingual tutoring to suit your needs. If you are looking for lively sixty-minute sessions, a supportive environment and an effective method to succeed in your exams or progress with pleasure, write to me without obligation and let's arrange your first session.
