My son and I were in Bordeaux for just two weeks, staying with a local family. Unfortunately, we weren't aware that practicing the violin would not be welcomed at home or his language school until the last minute. I must take responsibility for assuming that it wouldn't be an issue and for not clearly expressing my son's desire to practice daily. (BTW, he has been playing the violin for 8 years.) Despite his busy schedule, he managed to fit in five lessons for my son during the two weeks, although the last one was canceled due to his illness, which cannot be helped. He even lent my son his mute, allowing him to practice at home. Tristan's flexibility and understanding were invaluable in this situation. Moreover, my son rarely trusts someone so easily, but he immediately felt comfortable with Tristan. He spoke highly of the lessons, where Tristan skillfully combined expression, techniques, and theory, making the learning experience enjoyable. As a result of this positive experience, my son is considering continuing his lessons with Tristan online from the US. This way, he can build on the progress he made during our stay in Bordeaux. What I enjoy most about my lessons with Zachary is how personable he is. You will not find a more patient or kinder instructor. For me, I decided that I wanted to learn how to play the violin later in life. I have never played an instrument my entire life. Zachary did not make me feel like my new start was impossible and he does not patronize. These are things that I have encountered from teachers in the past. Zachary meets you where you are in your abilities and helps you realize your potential. He is always willing to go the extra mile to help you on your journey. My private violin lesson with Ester was absolutely perfect. I had a privilege to hear Ester play her violin and she is so good- it is crazy to think I was able to learn from her. She is also such a good teacher. Full of knowlege and patience- which is, in my opinion, a rare combination. I had no prior musical education and this was my first real music lesson. Ester managed to teach me basic note reading, correct violin holding and even playing my first tunes. Her explainations are very clear and easy to understand. And her approach is very friendly. She is also a very nice person and easy to talk to. I wish we lived in the same city so I could keep studying playing violin with Ester- that's how good she is. Lidia
