Hi there, I am an experienced teacher of music from London, UK! I also have a degree from The University of Manchester in Music.
I teach 1:1 and full class lessons in school and privately. Specialising in saxophone, flute, clarinet, and recorder. Also teaching students how to read music, play rhythm games, compose their own pieces, and generally have fun! I also teach piano to beginners.
I am going to be staying in Spain for July and August 2022, so if you are looking for lessons over the summer, and for the students to pratice their English, this could be the perfect match! Many thanks.

Hello!

I am a professional musician and studied at The University of Manchester, where I specialised in saxophone performance and composition.

I have experience tutoring saxophone, clarinet, flute, recorder, and piano (both in the styles of jazz and classical) to the ages range of 5 years old to 70 years old. Both in school and privately, I also teach music theory to all levels.

I have a relaxed teaching style and can accommodate various levels of expertise and learning speed. I first ascertain what the student hopes to gain from lessons and structure lessons to best achieve those objectives. I have 100% pass rate, with most pupils achieving merits and distinctions.

As a private violin teacher, I always adapt my lessons to the student's needs and goals. My methodology combines instrumental technique with musical development, so that the student not only learns to play correctly but also to express themselves on the instrument. I work closely with active listening, body posture, and musicality from day one.

A typical class begins with warm-up and technique exercises (bowing, tuning, fingering), continues with a study of a piece or excerpt adapted to the student's level, and ends with practical tips for home study. I always include a moment of reflection to answer questions and consolidate what has been learned.

What distinguishes me as a teacher is my ability to motivate and inspire enthusiasm for music, thanks to my experience as a violinist and conductor. I firmly believe that everyone can find their own voice through the violin, and I strive to create a positive and dynamic environment.

I also offer support in music theory, sheet music reading, and ear training.
