Piano lessons in Jazz, Classical, or Modern styles; depending on the student's interest, we can mix a bit of everything or delve deep into one style. Main focus applied to overcome the problem of piano: mastering two-handed rhythm. To achieve this, I teach left-hand grooves and foundations while working on improvisation, harmony, melodies, accompaniments, and everything there is to play with the right hand. I introduce piano techniques such as walking bass, tenths, stride, drop 2, and more. In my experience, rhythm, 'Groove,' and the connection with the music being played are the most challenging aspects to learn and integrate, which is why I give significant emphasis to these topics in my sessions, especially for polyrhythmic instruments like the piano. I cover compositional tools, approaching Jazz Standards, accompaniment techniques, improvisation methods for any instrument, Blues tools, methods to strengthen the relationship with the instrument, analysis, and listening skills. I also teach classical piano for those interested and offer specific training in rhythm and percussion. I am fully committed to my students. With over 12 years of experience in music education, both in individual and group settings, I have a good rapport with boys and girls. Location of the classes: my home in Poblenou (Passatge Cantí) or my studio at Bandasonora (C/Jovellanos 11). First 30-minute introductory class is complimentary. Feel free to reach out, my friend!
