University methodology, research, oral presentations — graduate of the ENS de LyonTranslate this text using Google Translate.

University methodology, research, oral presentations — graduate of the ENS de LyonTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Having graduated from ENS Lyon in social sciences, I offer personalized support for students who wish to improve their academic methodology, research work, presentations and oral presentations. After three years of preparatory classes in literature and social sciences at the Lycée Janson de Sailly, I entered the ENS de Lyon through a competitive entrance exam. There I pursued a course in social sciences, with a Master 1 in sociology followed by a Master 2 in history, partly completed in Japan. During my studies, I completed two research papers, numerous research notes, and a literature review in the sociology of gender. For several years, I was therefore required to read scientific articles, research and select references, compile bibliographies, analyze sources, and organize research questions. Today I propose to support students who wish to acquire or consolidate these methods, whether for their studies, presentations, reports or research work. I offer support in university methodology, research, and oral exam preparation. With several years of training in social sciences, two research papers, a literature review, and numerous research notes, I can help students develop a research question, find and organize their references, effectively read scientific articles, structure their work, and improve their academic writing. I also offer preparation for oral exams, presentations, mock exams, and selection interviews. Having given numerous presentations and mock exams in preparatory classes and having passed the entrance exams for the ENS, HEC, and ESSEC, I can support the preparation of content, structure, and oral presentation, with simulations and targeted work on questions, clarity, and time management. University methodology I can assist you with, among other things: • the understanding and effective reading of scientific articles; • bibliographic research and selection of relevant references; • the construction of a bibliography; • the creation of a state-of-the-art report; • the formulation of a problem; • the construction of a plan; • the organization of a research project; • academic writing; • the creation of a reading log; • preparing a presentation; • the preparation of a file or academic work; • proofreading and improving the structure of a work. I can also help students who do not know how to approach a thesis or research paper: how to start from a relatively broad topic, find a research question, identify existing works, organize their readings and gradually build a personal reflection. A concrete research experience My experience is based directly on several years of academic work. My first year of Master's studies in sociology focused on the sociology of gender and the sociology of emotions, while my second year of Master's studies in history focused on women and the city in Tokyo at the turn of the 1990s. I also conducted a state-of-the-art review in gender sociology, as well as numerous research notes during my studies. This work led me to dedicate several years to reading scientific articles, searching for references, compiling bibliographies and organizing large amounts of information. I can therefore pass on a very concrete method to go from "I have a lot of things to read" to "I know what I need to remember, how to organize it and how to use it in my work". Preparation for oral exams and presentations I also offer preparation sessions for university oral exams, presentations, talks, practice exams and selection interviews. My experience in preparatory classes gave me particularly intensive practice in oral communication: I took many oral exams and gave numerous presentations in different disciplines. I also took the entrance exams for ENS, HEC and ESSEC, and was admitted to ENS Lyon, HEC and ESSEC on my first attempt. Therefore, I can assist you with: • construct a clear and structured presentation; • select the important information; • build an effective plan; • prepare an oral or visual presentation; • work on the wording and the flow; • learn to present without simply reciting; • anticipate the questions; • prepare answers to difficult questions; • work on time management; • train in conditions similar to those of the competition; • to gain fluency and confidence in speaking. Work based on practice I prefer a very concrete preparation: after working together on the content and structure of the presentation, we can do oral simulations, then go over precisely what can be improved. For example, we can work on: the content — relevance of arguments, references, organization of ideas; the structure — introduction, transitions, conclusion and time management; the form — clarity, precision, rhythm, vocabulary and formulation; questions — anticipating objections and preparing reasoned answers; presentation — posture, gaze, voice and ability to adapt to the reactions of the person you are speaking to. The goal is not to learn a text by heart, but to enable the student to master their subject sufficiently to be able to present it clearly and answer questions relevantly. For which students? I can, in particular, assist with: • Bachelor's and Master's students; • students in history, sociology and social sciences; • students who have to complete a dissertation or research paper; • students preparing a presentation or talk; • students in preparatory classes preparing for oral exams or competitive exams; • candidates preparing for an admission oral exam or an interview; • Students wishing to improve their academic study methods. I adapt to the level and needs of each individual: this can be one-off support for a presentation or oral exam, or more regular follow-up for a dissertation or research work. Courses in Lyon or online I offer in-person sessions in Lyon or remotely and have the necessary equipment to work effectively remotely. For written assignments, it is also possible to work from the student's documents in order to prepare together a methodology, a structure or a presentation. Please feel free to tell me about your level of study, the work you would like to be supported on and your objectives: together we can determine the most suitable session format.

I offer you a new learning experience. The focus is on practical application and theory is only introduced where intuition reaches its limits. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced learner, my tailor-made lessons will accelerate your language acquisition in a positive learning environment. You can book a complete course with regular sessions or individual lessons to overcome a specific problem, such as pronunciation or a particular point in grammar. Learning a foreign language is not a linear process that consists of memorising a list of words, and speaking a foreign language is not an oral translation exercise. There are two types of approaches to acquiring knowledge: When asked what year follows 1999, you can immediately answer 2000 without having to think for a long time and, above all, without having memorised each number individually, starting with 1, 2, 3 ... You know that numbers are formed according to a certain pattern. With only ten digits, you can form an infinite number of numbers and always know which number comes next. When it comes to the alphabet, words and sentences, it's more or less the same, but school pedagogy, school textbooks and regular lessons still follow the rote learning approach. In the lessons I propose, you will learn to use patterns because this is more efficient and faster. Learning is easy, but unlearning bad habits is extremely difficult. This makes it all the more important to learn the right reflexes as early as possible. My offer is aimed at both young people and adults who want to learn German or improve their knowledge without wasting time on nonsensical school methods. I offer individual or group lessons for German. The methods are based on cognitive science and, in particular, comparative linguistics. My flexible programme can be tailored to your individual needs. The programme focuses on your independence in spontaneous conversations in real life. What is particularly important to me: motivating my students and help them establish a learning rhythm; encouraging their creativity; helping them become more familiar with the language; teaching them the letters and their sounds; strengthening their memory by training their phonological loop; teaching sentence building plans instead of memorising sentences; explaining how language works so that my students can become independent as quickly as possible. I look forward to meeting you.

Master Research, Thesis, Project & Engineering Management | Methodology, Career Development, Leadership & InterviewsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Complex academic and professional goals become manageable when the objective is clear, the methodology is sound, the work is properly planned, and decisions are based on structured reasoning rather than improvisation. I am a PhD-qualified engineer, university professor, published researcher, former senior academic leader, project practitioner, and multidisciplinary mentor with more than 30 years of experience across teaching, research, supervision, engineering, project planning, management, professional development, and decision support. This class provides personalized guidance for university students, graduate researchers, engineers, professionals, managers, career changers, and adult learners. Depending on your objective, we can focus on one of three clearly defined pathways or connect them when your situation genuinely requires an integrated approach. RESEARCH METHODS, THESIS & DISSERTATION • Defining and narrowing a research problem • Developing research questions and objectives • Formulating hypotheses • Building conceptual and theoretical frameworks • Literature-review strategy and source evaluation • Connecting theories, constructs, variables, and measurement • Quantitative research design • Qualitative research design • Mixed-methods research • Experimental, observational, survey, and case-study approaches • Population and sampling decisions • Sample-size considerations • Questionnaire and survey design • Reliability and validity • Operationalization of variables • Coding plans and data preparation • Research ethics and responsible data handling • Selecting appropriate analytical methods • Developing a coherent data-analysis plan • Interpreting quantitative and qualitative findings • Structuring methodology and results chapters • Connecting findings to research questions and hypotheses • Discussion, limitations, implications, and recommendations • Responding systematically to supervisor feedback • Preparing to explain and defend methodological decisions • Academic and scientific writing structure • Citation, referencing, and reference-management workflows • Preparing research presentations, proposals, posters, or defense materials PROJECT MANAGEMENT, ENGINEERING MANAGEMENT & PROFESSIONAL EXECUTION • Project objectives and success criteria • Scope definition and requirements • Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) • Activity definition and sequencing • Network diagrams • Critical Path Method (CPM) • PERT and schedule uncertainty • Milestones and deliverables • Resource planning and allocation • Cost estimation and budgeting concepts • Project scheduling and control • Risk identification, analysis, and response planning • Stakeholder analysis • Communication planning • Quality and performance monitoring • Change management • Traditional, Agile, and hybrid approaches • Construction and engineering project contexts • Microsoft Project workflows • Primavera planning and scheduling • Diagnosing delayed or underperforming projects • Turning complex objectives into executable action plans • Engineering-management principles and technical decision making • Managing multidisciplinary engineering and technical teams • Balancing technical performance, cost, schedule, quality, risk, and resources • Engineering operations, productivity, and process improvement • Technology and innovation management • Decision analysis and evaluation of technical alternatives • Quality-management and continuous-improvement principles • Translating strategic objectives into engineering and operational actions 3. I do not simply provide generic templates or ready-made answers. I help you understand why a method or strategy fits your situation, what assumptions it depends on, how to evaluate alternatives, how to detect weaknesses, and how to defend the final decision clearly. Academic and professional integrity are essential. I provide teaching, methodological guidance, critical feedback, analytical support, planning, coaching, and supervision-style mentoring. I do not write assessed theses or dissertations, complete examinations, fabricate research results, or misrepresent a student’s or professional’s experience. My goal is to help you become the genuine owner of your research, project, or professional path—able to explain your decisions, manage complexity, communicate clearly, and move forward independently.

“ Kevin is a genius, who is capable of breaking down complex concepts into manageable, useful bits. If you think of a really large basket of vegetables and fruits. You know all the nutrients are good for you, but it would be tedious to try to eat it all raw. But then, you get a juicer or blender or 'Nutribullet', and juice all those vegetables and fruits into a refreshing smoothie. You can then drink that smoothie as quickly or slowly as you wish, and still get all the necessary nutrients... That's what Kevin can do - he juices all the complex intricacies of the German language into something you can understand and digest. His methods are unconventional, but very helpful in laying a proper foundation for a successful language learning journey. Very highly recommended. ”

“ I’ve had a great experience learning French with my tutor. He is highly knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely committed to helping me improve. His lessons are challenging in a very positive way: he pushes me beyond my comfort zone and encourages me to express myself at a higher level rather than relying on what feels easy or familiar. Although the lessons can be demanding, I’ve found that this approach has benefited my French greatly and has helped me become more confident and capable in the language. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is serious about making real progress in French. ”

“ Tiziana is a amazing with kids. Both my daugters love the lessons with her. She makes learning fun. ”
