My lessons are personalized to your needs and I make sure you don't get overwhelmed by the language, but enjoy the process of learning it! I always add a cultural element to my classes, so it's not just learning grammar, but learning how Italian people actually think and live.
Depending on your preference, I can teach the class fully in Italian or using English or Japanese when necessary.

HI, my name is Noemi and I am a qualified and experienced Italian teacher.
I am from Rome but I lived in London for many years. While I was in London, I gained and Italian teaching qualification (as well as a CELTA for English teaching) and I started teaching Italian to many passionate students. I moved to Tokyo 3 years ago and worked as an English instructor for a company while teaching Italian on the side.
My students love to learn Italian and I love to help them with the process, while also having fun and teaching them about my culture.
I have many hobbies, I like drawing and art, history, literature, singing and I am a very good cook (I can also teach you Italian recipes). I also have a background in programming and I love coding.

You also have the possibility to work on grammar/ pronunciation/ reading/ writing and follow a program for your examinations (IELTS, British examinations...).

After a cursory evaluation of current abilities, a customised curriculum is created to optimise learning, as well as helping to prepare the student to pass any exam they wish to take to validate their french skills.

For improving conversational skills, 30 minute sessions are recommended.
For students who just wish to better their english skills, the 45 minutes lessons are recommended.
For students wanting to prepare to pass a specific exam, 90 minute lessons are recommended.

For complete beginners, the lesson will be conducted in both japanese and english.
For those with basic skills, the lesson will be conducted in english, which will of course be more simple and adapted to the student's level.

I give lessons ranging from simple conversation and pronunciation (around orality) to grammar and spelling. I have been a private teacher of French and English (all levels) for six years. I teach foreigners wishing to learn French as well (FLE).
I also gave courses via an organization on half-class formats. I prepared for the exercises of the baccalaureate and the patent (in French as in English).

About me: I speak Japanese!
A former student of the literary preparatory class in Janson-de-Sailly, I then studied at La Sorbonne in French literature. I also have a confirmed C2 level of English. I like to transmit and teach, which I have been doing for 6 years now with passion.

This lesson aims to help the student differentiate and correctly use a / à, and / est, son / sont, using fun and interactive activities.

The session begins with a detective game where the student spots homophone errors in sentences. He then discovers the rules using flashcards that associate each word with a simple trick.

Various games help to anchor this knowledge: the target game to complete sentences, the right path game where the student physically chooses the right answer, and the hidden words challenge where he guesses and justifies a homophone in a sentence.

Finally, the student becomes a teacher and invents sentences for the adult to complete. A quick review concludes the session, with a small challenge to complete at home.

Learning is based on manipulation, play and experimentation, making the session dynamic and effective.

French can be a challenging language, but don't worry – I'm here to help!

In our lessons, we'll start by focusing on speaking, building your confidence with everyday phrases and understanding basic sentence structure. Once you're comfortable, we can shift our focus to the areas you most want to improve.
