Julius - Reinickendorf60€
Trusted teacher: (German version further down) I enjoy teaching because it requires a deeper knowledge of the material than if one is only performing music. I am continuously learning too. I do not think that it is important how old you are or in what environment you grew up. To engage with music as a result of learning an instrument can bring your brain into a healthy state of ongoing change. People who are "without any talent" for music do not exist. Everyone can engage with music and enjoy it. I can teach piano: - involving sheet music or not, depending on what you prefer. - or/and music theory lessons - or/and improvisation - or/and Jazz - or/and Ear Training - or/and Composition. The lessons can be held in English or German or a mixture of both. I teach close to Friedrichstraße in Berlin. The lessons can be done via Skype too. You can read about me as a performing musician here: Julius (*1995) is a German pianist and composer, graduated from the University of Arts Berne in Switzerland in 2017 with honors. In July 2019 he finished his Masters in the European Jazz Masters Program through the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen with exchange semesters in Berlin and Amsterdam. Throughout his studies, he was lucky enough to receive artistic guidance from Colin Vallon, Django Bates, Harmen Fraanje, Simon Toldam, Peter Bruun, Greg Cohen, and Michael Moore. Julius was granted a scholarship by Lyra Stiftung Zürich in 2015 and 2016. Tours with his own bands have been supported by different fundings from Switzerland and Germany. He performed all across Europe during the past years. German: When teaching, it's important to have a deeper understanding of everything than when "just" making music. I'm always learning as a teacher. It doesn't matter how old you are or whether you grew up in a music-rich or music-poor environment. Engaging with music can put our brains into a healthy state of constant change and growth. There are no people who are "talentedless" when it comes to music. Everyone can engage with music and enjoy it. I offer lessons with or without sheet music, depending on your preference. If you're interested, I also teach music theory, improvisation, jazz, ear training, and composition. Classes are held in German or English, or a mixture of both. I teach near Friedrichstrasse in Berlin. Classes can also be held via Skype. Here is an insight into my musical work: Julius (*1995) is a German pianist and composer working in the fields of jazz and improvised music. He completed his bachelor's degree at the Bern University of the Arts in 2017 with distinction. In July 2019, he completed the European Jazz Masters at the Rytmisk Music Conservatory in Copenhagen, with exchange semesters at the Jazz Institute Berlin and the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. In 2015 and 2016, he received a scholarship from the Lyra Foundation in Zurich. His bands' tours have been regularly supported by German and Swiss foundations in recent years. Julius has played concerts all over Europe in recent years.

Are you interested in theory and want to learn something about music in general? Contact me! I have been teaching flute, piano, recorder, music theory, chamber music and coaching in English, German and Hungarian for almost 10 years, both privately and at various music schools in Berlin and Budapest. My youngest students are 5 years old, my oldest are over 60. I can hit the right note with almost everyone and I think that a good education system is essential for society, which is why I am passionate about it! Contact me and let's swim in the music! About me: I am Kristóf i, a practicing flautist, composer and pianist. I studied flute and composition at the Liszt Academy in Budapest and at the University of Arts in Berlin and have participated in many projects based on the wide repertoire of so-called classical music, including playing in symphony orchestras, in many chamber music groups and as a soloist, pop, rock and jazz music, folk music, experimental genres and contemporary music, performance art, theater music, sound painting and free improvisation, electronic music and so on. I come from a family of musicians and have been playing and learning flute and piano intensively since I was five years old. My whole life revolves around music and finding connections between classical music, pop genres, folk music and experimental/modern directions. I have also been involved in research in these fields and plan to continue doing so. ENGLISH Would you like to learn the piano, flute or recorder? Do you need coaching with your band? Trusted teacher: Welcome to my online Piano Class. I am Maria, and I will happily help you achieve your musical goals, from zero to the top. I love all student levels, but only towards the CLASSICAL piano, of any eras' works and composers. Don't be afraid, my lesson is human-friendly 😊 Everything goes step by step! Outside the lesson time, I send you lots of short videos to support your practice through the week. As each student is different, I focus on each ones' needs and I am always creative in helping you learn through the simplest ways - "if it's easy, it's correct", that's my motto! My greatest happiness is to watch my students grow, overcome any limit and expand in full potential! As a result, many of my students have won top prizes at major international competitions, as the IBLA Grand Prize, the Spoleto International Piano Competition, the Bach au Jazz (Lilia Boyadjieva) International Piano Competition and many others. And also, at renown online competitions, as The Royal, the IYMC, the Forte Academy, and many-many others. So, in case you need a competition or exam preparation, here you are at the right place! I will help you discover the advanced piano technique, and the ways to achieve your best musical interpretation. Also, very important, I'll help you understand and approach each composers' unique style, and, also, secure your concert / stage presence, with simple and effective solutions for memorisation and control. I am a very proud piano teacher, as on Jan 11 2026 four young students of mine were awarded by the renown American Competition "The Royal Foundation" and were invited and performed at a Gala at the Carnegie Hall in New York City! Also, these kids were invited to participate to the Juilliard School festival, with masterclass and lessons, a fabulous chance and experience that I wish all young pianists could have! On Sept 1st 2024 three awarded students of mine were invited to perform at The DiMenna Classical Centre of Music in Manhattan, from another American competition, the International Youth Music Competition. I wish I can always bring such great opportunities and successes to all of my "piano kids"!

After 4-5 months of learning piano with Maria, I owe her big gratitude. I decided to learn piano as an adult and Maria helped me to overcome my insecurities in music and motivated me to keep trying and practicing. She truly cares about the whole learning experience and uses amazing methods to guide me not only in improving my playing skills, but also my musicality. The piano classes with Maria are always inspiring and challenging, but not overwhelming. In each class, she corrects the techniques and accommodates exercises for practice accordingly. I am really satisfied with her dedication and feedback. I cannot recommend Maria highly enough. In her teaching, she uses the right dose of professionalism, friendliness, patience, and understanding. Her enthusiasm for the music is so contagious. Her lovely and passionate nature and energetic vibes simply make the class an enjoyable learning experience. I cannot wait for the next piano class with Maria. :)

Jack

I’m so lucky that I was able to have lessons with Jack during my time in Berlin! He creates such a supportive environment for learning — laid back and calm, yet totally professional. After years of me struggling independently with a few pieces, he was able to show me new ways of approaching the music that transformed even the hardest parts into something accessible. He has a lovely and genuine way of offering encouragement / recognizing progress, while still keeping track of the underlying objective; a more far-reaching arc of improvement. I like how he remembers this larger perspective from week to week (especially when I forget), and finds ways to expertly weave the end goal into incremental, manageable steps. I have learned so much from the tools and techniques he’s shared with me, and am grateful to have enjoyed his teaching.

Kristóf

I am very happy to have Kristóf as my flute teacher! Not only is he knowledgeable about flute technique, but he also takes the time to explain how the instrument works and the physics behind the sound production. His expertise in music theory is a significant bonus, enriching my understanding of music as a whole. What I appreciate most is his patience and attentiveness. He creates a supportive learning environment where I feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. Every lesson leaves me feeling inspired and more confident in my playing. If you're looking for a teacher who is both skilled and genuinely cares about your progress, I highly recommend Kristóf!
