Our conversation lessons will help you learn and practice your Italian, whether you are a beginner or want to perfect the language. Topics will be tailored to your needs and can range from basic scenarios to more specific ones (professional, travel or cultural context). When necessary we can focus on specific grammar rules and expand vocabulary that is more important to you. Approach - I always encourage the student to develop a personal connection to the language by exploring personal interests and real-life language use. Are you a student, working or living in the Netherlands and do you want to take classes to learn the Dutch language? I am a patient, social and open minded tutor with a good capacity to empathize. Through my 10 years of experience in teaching the Dutch language I am specialized in identifying the most effective learning approach for each individual student. Over the years I’ve learned that every student is different, and each student has their own style and pace. I’m a versatile tutor who adapts to every possible approach including: grammar classes, conversational classes, writing classes, reading classes and interactive classes. The method that is the most efficient for the majority of the students is an introduction to grammar in combination with conversational practice. Through a diagnostic test I can identify the which part of the grammar my students are the most struggling with in order to provide efficient and targeted classes. Don’t hesitate to send me a message if you have any further questions.

- Are you moving to Portugal and want your kid to learn a bit before moving there? - Is one of the parents of your child a Portuguese native speaker? - Are you Portuguese native speakers who are living abroad and want to understand how your child is developing? - Do you want a babysitter who can teach your child a language in the meantime? - Is your child transitioning from an international school to one with a Portuguese curriculum? These are only some of the few encounters I’ve had in the past with kids who learned Portuguese language in a fun and engaging way. If your kid talks PT/EN/FR/NL/SP I can speak with them. My strongest suit as a teacher is patience and I can connect to children quite easily (maybe because my mum is a kindergarten teacher). I know how hard it is to hold a kid’s attention for long stretches of time. Thus I try to turn the classroom into a playground and make it as interactive as possible. The focus will be to learn vocabulary as opposed to writing complex sentences, depending on your child’s proficiency of the language. My method is very flexible and I adjust it to every student. I usually share my screen and make use of audiovisual material such as books, songs, videos and games. The latter seems to have the most success so far as we cheerfully shout Portuguese vocabulary such as animals, numbers, letters, colors etc.

Looking for extra help with English at school? You've come to the right place. I'm happy to help you with all your questions and guide you in practicing the subjects you find difficult. Are you doing really well with speaking, but do you feel like writing is a bit less successful? Then we'll work together on fun assignments to improve your writing skills. So whether you find everything about the subject a bit difficult, or certain subjects such as writing, listening or speaking skills: I'm happy to help you find the way that suits you best to make progress in this. I adapt my lessons to the level and learning style of each student, so that you can achieve your goal as well as possible. If you have specific questions about your schoolwork or if you have trouble with English at school, it is best to use the material you receive at school in the tutoring as a guideline. I can then supplement this with more assignments and material that suits your level. I myself went to a bilingual high school and studied English at International Baccalaureate (IB) level. So if you need help practicing for a Cambridge or IB exam, that is also possible! Please feel free to contact me if you are interested or have any questions.
