The Mysteries of ANCIENT EGYPT | The Secrets of Ancient Egypt | I Misteri dell'Antico Egitto | EGYPTOLOGYTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Have you always been fascinated by Ancient Egypt? Have you always dreamed about learning more about the mysteries of this fascinating ancient civilization? Then this is the course for you! Have you always been fascinated by Ancient Egypt? Have you always dreamed of learning more about this fascinating and mysterious culture? Then this course is just right for you! Be semper stato affascinato dall'antico Egitto? Have you ever heard of conoscere meglio and the mystery of this fascinating civility? Allora questo è il corso per te! Teaching approach: I have always been fascinated by ancient Egypt, and during my studies of Foreign Languages and Literature at Turin University, I took Egyptology for one year. I studied with Professor Silvio Curto, a well-known Egyptologist who was the Director of the Turin Museum for many years. Since my studies I have kept reading Egyptology texts and enriching my knowledge, my main interest and specialization being ancient Egyptian mythology, deities (and especially goddesses), as well as magic. Course program: Turin is the city in which I was born, raised and where I lived for a long time. This city is closely linked to ancient Egypt, since it houses the oldest Egyptian Museum worldwide, and still one of the most important collections in the world. In this course we are going to visit the Museo Egizio in Turin virtually, and we are going to read and discuss interesting texts written by Egyptologists, discussing many fascinating topics, such as ancient Egyptian magic, mythology, gods and goddesses, women in Ancient Egypt and many more. And if you visit Turin, a live lesson in the Egyptian Museum in the form of a guided visit can be arranged! In this course we will virtually tour the 'Museo Egizio' in Turin and we will talk about many fascinating topics such as Egyptian magic, deities, famous pharaohs, amulets, ancient Egyptian art and much more. We will also answer interesting questions: When did ancient Egypt begin? How old were the Egyptians? Were women equal? What colors were there in the Egyptian language? And if you're visiting Turin, there's also the option to organize a live lesson in the form of a shared tour of the Egyptian Museum! In the course of a virtual visit to the Egyptian Museum of Torino and to the audience of many fascinating arguments: the pyramids and the temples of Abu Simbel, the amulet of all the divine egizie, the Valle dei Re and the Regine as the ruins of the ancient Egitto woman. This visit to Torino can also be organized as a living lesson in the form of a visit to the Egyptian Museum!

Zooanthropology, or On Becoming Cultural with Non-human AnimalsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Zooanthropology, or On Becoming Cultural with Non-human AnimalsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

What if human culture is not exclusively human? Zooanthropology, or On Becoming Cultural with Non-human Animals is an introductory 10-lesson course exploring the relationship between humans and other animals and asking a fundamental question: how much of what we call “culture” has actually emerged through our relationships with other species? The course offers a different perspective. Rather than considering culture an exclusively human achievement, zooanthropology understands it as something that has emerged through relationships, encounters and exchanges between species. Other animals are not simply objects of human knowledge or resources for human development: they are subjects who have influenced, shaped and transformed us. This perspective invites us to reconsider our own position in the world and to question some deeply rooted assumptions about the supposed boundary between humans and other animals. It also encourages us to decentre our perspective and to become more attentive to forms of intelligence, communication, emotion, learning and relationship that do not seem to resemble our own. The course is transdisciplinary, drawing on anthropology, philosophy, ethology and other fields. Along the way, you will encounter concepts such as intersubjectivity, epiphany, hybridisation and epimelesis, among many others. But don't be intimidated by the terminology! No previous knowledge of anthropology, philosophy, ethology or zooanthropology is required. What the course does require is curiosity, an interest in human–nonhuman animal relations, and a willingness to question some familiar ideas and look at the world from a less anthropocentric perspective. Slides and a bibliography will be provided.

Learn Serbian with a Native Speaker — Conversation, Everyday Language & CultureTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Learn Serbian with a Native Speaker — Conversation, Everyday Language & CultureTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Want to learn Serbian in a relaxed and practical way? I am a native Serbian speaker and an English teacher with an MA in English Language and Literature. In these lessons, we'll focus on helping you actually use Serbian in real conversations rather than simply memorizing isolated words and grammar rules. Depending on your level and goals, we can work on: • Everyday Serbian and useful expressions • Conversation and speaking confidence • Vocabulary and pronunciation • Serbian grammar explained clearly and practically • Serbian culture, customs, music, films, and everyday life • Serbian for travel, relationships, family, or personal interest The lessons can be adapted to complete beginners as well as learners who already know some Serbian and want more opportunities to practise. If you're interested in Serbian language and culture, want to communicate with Serbian-speaking friends or family, are planning to visit Serbia, or simply want to learn a new language, we'll build the lessons around your goals and interests. My approach is relaxed, friendly, and judgment-free. You don't need to be afraid of making mistakes — speaking and experimenting with the language is how you improve. Let's make Serbian something you can actually use, not just something you study.

Philosophy for understanding the world: classes, dialogue and critical thinkingTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Philosophy for understanding the world: classes, dialogue and critical thinkingTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Philosophy is not about memorizing names, dates, and theories. Philosophizing means learning to ask questions, recognize contradictions, analyze arguments, and better understand the world we live in. I studied Philosophy and History and have spent decades working on philosophical, social, political, and technological issues. I offer one-on-one classes for both students who need a deeper understanding of philosophy and adults who simply want to think, learn, and discuss topics that interest them. We can work on the history of philosophy, texts and authors, logic and argumentation, epistemology, ethics, political philosophy, materialism, philosophy of technology, artificial intelligence, or any other philosophical issue you want to understand or discuss. You can also simply come with a question. No prior knowledge is necessary. We start with what interests you and brainstorm together. My goal isn't to give you ready-made answers or convince you of a particular doctrine. I want to help you develop your own arguments, uncover the assumptions behind an idea, and learn to look at a problem from different perspectives. Classes can be for academic support, exam preparation, introduction to philosophy, or individual philosophical conversation. Classes in Spanish, German or English. Online and, by prior arrangement, in person in Barcelona and Badalona.

I’ve had a great experience learning French with my tutor. He is highly knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely committed to helping me improve. His lessons are challenging in a very positive way: he pushes me beyond my comfort zone and encourages me to express myself at a higher level rather than relying on what feels easy or familiar. Although the lessons can be demanding, I’ve found that this approach has benefited my French greatly and has helped me become more confident and capable in the language. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is serious about making real progress in French.

I will definitely recommend Kyra as a tutor for the IGCSE and A-level English Language and Literature. My son is doing A-level Literature in English and we are very happy to find Kyra as a tutor. She has a system and her own method of teaching; lessons are always planned beforehand and structured. She knows the subject very well and helps my son with the exam preparations - both analyzing the texts and reviewing the past papers. So if you're looking for an English Language and Literature tutor, I highly recommend Kyra.
