With over 12 years of teaching experience, I provide piano, music theory, and composition lessons across all ages. I hold a Ph.D in music and have successfully prepared more than 200 pupils for the widely recognised ABRSM and Trinity exams. I excel in constructing and conducting the lesson in a friendly, patient, and inspiring manner, kindling students' inner creativity and passion for the art of music. Whether you are beginner or an advanced student, a junior or an adult, keen to play for leisure or pursue musical distinction, I can tailor the lesson to your particular needs and expectations. At present, I am based in Windsor, teaching full-time at Windsor Piano School and privately at my studio. I am eager to expand my network of private pupils.

My role is not simply to assist you along the way but to take it beside you, and to keep your hopes alive that you can reach the desired end. I find crucial maintaining one's confidence and self-believe along this process while boosting one's independence in making forward steps.

I teach music theory equal to a-level.

The purpose of this course is to bring students closer to a conservatory experience, where learning is not limited to "how-to" tutorials and lectures. Through a series of lessons customised according to your needs, assignments, and working with me on tasks, you will develop a great load of skills in composition as well as a deep understanding of music theory.

Through ear training, tonal harmony, history of music, as well as structure and form courses, you will be able to analyse and appraise the music that you play as a classical instrumentalist, as well as boost your skills in composition and arrangement.

I am a classically trained pianist with a versatile approach to teaching. I share my passion and experience of music, sparking imagination and inspiring creativity of my students.
Throughout my teaching career (over 10 years) I have always strived to help students of different ages and abilities to achieve their best. I am proficient in various teaching methodologies and able to chose what is appropriate for certain students, relying on their background, capacity, skills, way of thinking, personal qualities, age, and preferences in music taste.
I prepare students for ABRSM, Trinity and Rockschool exams. Using individual approach, I am experienced in teaching not only classical music, but also contemporary music, neoclassical music, jazz music and others. I am convinced that excellent results can be reached by encouraging students to share my love of music by introducing them history, theory, harmony, broaden their musical perspective.
I am fully qualified, having graduated from The Odessa National A.V.Nezhdanova Music Academy (Bachelor Degree in Performance and Teaching) and The Royal Academy of Music in London, where I have obtained a Master Degree in Performance with distinction.
I completed a course of composition with Edmund Finnis (two albums of neoclassical music released (Ellen F - Monologue and Ellen F - Hug The Sadness), participated as a piano accompanist at the masterclass with Helmut Deutsch at the Royal Academy of Music, attended coaching sessions under the supervision of Lada Valešová, Richard Stokes, Marek Ruszczynski, Ingrid Surgenor and others.

Music is for all! Kyriakos strongly believes that passion and hard work is what leads a student to a great success. Of course, talent is needed, but the student’s systematic practice is the primary key for each player to be developed musically and instrumentally.

Kyriakos’s approach is personalised, always depending on the age, the student’s goals, and the availability of a student to practice at home. Except from the basic exercises, students are encouraged to express their selves in the lesson, to start developing musical and critical thinking and to engage their personalities, feelings, and expressions, and therefore reflect those parameters upon their pieces.

Kyriakos aims to provide the necessary tuition which will ultimately lead the students to make their first steps towards the artistic “trip” of finding their own, personal performance or compositional style. My name's Luca and I've been a full-time professional musician for the past 10 years. I mainly work as a session musician and recording artist/producer, and also as a private guitar tutor.
My goal when it comes to teaching is to share my knowledge and passion for music and to help you improving and having as much enjoyment from it as I have for it.

I base my lessons on my student’s ambitions and on their weaknesses, so they can improve quickly and efficiently, without loosing interest on the instrument, and so they can reach their goals, giving them a personalised lesson plan, having fun and playing different styles and techniques. Everyone is welcome to join my teaching plan if they want to spice up their playing or simply start from scratch.

I specialise in all popular musical styles, such as Pop, R&B, Funk, Jazz, Rock and more, on both electric and acoustic guitar. I'm extremely passionate in music theory, composition, arranging, and also music production. The most important thing within my lessons is to really focus in on what each student personal goals and aims are. For example, if a students end goal is to become better at Jazz guitar this will be our main focus in the lessons. I find that with this method it is far easier to keep the students engaged and passionate if they feel like they're working towards their own personal goals. This also allows me to educate them on all of the "boring stuff" without killing their passion for Music.

In regards to my qualifications I have an undergraduate degree in Music from the Leeds Conservatoire, alongside Grade 8 qualifications on guitar and Grade 5 Music Theory qualifications. I play a variety of styles consisting of Pop, Rock, Funk, RnB and Jazz allowing me to tailor my lessons accordingly. I have multiple years experience tutoring through online platforms for students of all ages and skill levels, generally teaching for 30 minutes to 1 hour per lesson.

Hi!

I’m Paloma, I’m a film and videogame music composer, pianist and violist. I give classes in music language, music theory, harmony, and composition from classical to film, piano, and viola. My students are any age, any level from beginner to advanced. I will help with exams, GCSE, and A-Levels, as well as help students obtain their grade 5 theory to advance and take higher grades in composition or viola.

I started teaching when I was 17 years old. While I was studying viola and composition I would help colleagues learn Harmonic Theory for University exams or just for fun. Whilst studying, in order to support my learning abroad, I started teaching children and teenagers. The classes included a wide variety, from; supporting their studies during the school year, to their first approaches to music as well as nurturing love and excitement for playing and making music. After University I continued giving classes during the last few years.

The compositional strand of training if a student wishes to undergo it has many elements we will learn the theory needed to competently make music learn systems that allow us to break down composition as well as multiple genres. work they can do by themselves at their own pace, allowing each student to work and grow at a rate suited to their ability.
-Building a strong understanding of melodies and chords and how different instruments work and support each other.
-If they are studying in a formal educational establishment, they will receive support and guidance in regard to their work and exams.

When I am giving classes in music language, viola, piano... to children, I always try that the classes will be dynamic but at the same time incorporate a little bit of Theory. I utilised exercises that are designed to engage young developmental minds, like those you’d find on a children’s show. For example, singing, playing... songs allows us to train the ears and help them to begin to recognise the different registers, notes, rhythms and tempo. This was done alongside training on their chosen instruments, my aim was and is to nurture a language of music as well as give them practical skills and exercises they can do on their own. I play the piano and viola, so I always try to support them.

When it comes to classes for teenagers I teach them theory and practice as well as strong fundamentals but I also allow time to let them lead their learning to give them more agency, allow them to learn their favourite /contemporary songs. This keeps the passion for music alive. With teenagers, my approach centres on elevating and reinforcing what they learn from school using exercises and providing tools to break down ideas musically. In addition, I also prepare for GCSE and A-levels.

Lessons will follow a path of progression, teaching them how to approach the next levels of theoretical and practical competence. Allowing the students to understand their Progression and their path forward increases the likelihood they will continue studying.

Lessons are flexible, and curated on a student-to-student basis as well as making sure to incorporate what I believe they need to achieve the next level. This involves; practical music training, ear training, building on theoretical knowledge, as well as learning songs they love to ensure they feel fulfilled and have fun with music.

I have taught the Rockschool and Trinity syllabus’s. My student’s have a very high pass rate, the majority of students receiving Merit’s or Distinction’s. If you’re not particularly interested in taking grades, we can learn songs of your choice! No matter the style we can learn whatever you’d like.

I am an experienced guitar tutor teaching lessons face-to-face and online. I also cater to groups. I have been a musician for over 20 years and have been teaching guitar for over 10 years, giving me a vast range of knowledge, teaching methodologies, and learning resources.

This class is specific to children as it fosters a love of music and music creation via easy-to-learn and play tunes, notation reading and developing ear skills. Learning music and guitar at a young age is a wonderful way to learn a new skill which boosts confidence, teaches effort and rewards relationships, creates discipline, and helps children take pride in their achievements and performances.

We will learn the fundamentals of playing the guitar, focusing on developing good techniques across both the left and right hand enabling faster growth and easier self-directed study. We will learn a selection of short tunes/melodies, chords and some sight reading. Grades are an option for those interested but my main aim is to bring the joy of guitar to the lessons! I have been teaching piano for over 20 years now.

I trained at the Royal College of Music after winning a junior scholarship, where I spent 8 years studying piano, cello, music theory and choral music.

My aim is for my students to enjoy the rewards and challenges of learning by making lessons fun and accessible. Each lesson is tailored to the individual needs of my students.
