I have always been passionate about music; I play five instruments, and I recently completed my piano studies at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in Piet Kuijken's class. I have always believed that the ultimate goal of music is sharing, and that is why I am strongly drawn to anything that is done in groups: chamber music, orchestras, but also teaching, through which I can also share my passion. My course is for everyone: do you want to start from scratch? No problem, I also give lessons in music theory and musical culture which will make a perfect complement to make you a complete musician. Have you already taken lessons at the academy but would like a more personalized or simply different approach? I offer methodical guidance for each student and adapt my lessons to all learning styles. Are you preparing for an exam (academy or conservatory entrance)? I become your personal coach and am personally committed to your success. My course is aimed at students who want to learn technique and repertoire methodically as well as at those who want to learn for fun or for the purpose of learning a specific piece.

Anouk is a versatile artist: musician (piano accordion), singer-songwriter, actress, and coach of piano and singing. In her "Easy-Piano" method, you learn to play "modern" piano in record time without any knowledge of solfège. You learn to read notes while playing in a fun way. Also some chord theory, improvisation and repertoire (classical or modern: pop, jazz, songs, etc.). Some technical material: scales in a playful way, touch, fingering, etc. are important. In short, in no time you will be able to play a few tunes, understand the harmony and improvise...and all this while having fun!

With 7 years of experience behind me and around forty students, I noticed that the best teaching method was a transversal approach, working from the beginning on musical expression using compositions adapted to the student's level, as well as exercises focused on paying attention to our body, our movements and our musical intention. This approach adapts to everyone's desires. Adults and children of all ages are welcome, the first lesson always being free, at my home on a Grand piano. With children, this takes the form of age-appropriate, playful teaching, with which I identify one or two specific objectives to achieve that allow complex concepts to be communicated in a simple way. Learning through physical experience allows all of these things to be approached in a guided and easily accessible way.

My method is adapted to each individual's needs. We first discuss your goals, and based on that, we establish a program so that you can progress at your own pace. The learning techniques I have been able to acquire are numerous since I have been able to study music from different aspects and, therefore, the choices are multiple. It is important for me to create a bond with the student so that my music lessons are joyful, fun moments, focusing my learning on positive reinforcement, encouraging, while being effective and serious ;) In piano, I was trained in classical music, but also in current music, pop, soul, etc. In singing, I am trained in jazz, but also in ESTILL technique (vocal coaching), current music and many others. After 10 years of experience in teaching singing and piano, my lessons are aimed at all levels and all ages (children, teenagers, adults). Hello, My name is Charlotte, I am 25 years old. I hold a bachelor's degree in applied and interactive music from the Royal Conservatory of Mons, specializing in composition for film scores and other visual media. I have been playing the piano since childhood, about ten years now. I completed all my piano studies at an academy and continue to hone my skills on this instrument that is so dear to me. I have been teaching piano for five years now; I have taught students ranging from 5 to 70 years old, from Belgium, Spain, and Italy. Language is not a barrier for me, and I enjoy teaching both younger children (through games, songs to sing along to, and more playful activities) and older students. Before attending the conservatory, I took various courses that enriched my musical practice: solfège, choir, classical singing, chamber music, and classical music analysis. I also had the opportunity to accompany a small string orchestra at the Auderghem Academy on the piano. Last year, I had the chance to spend a year on Erasmus at the conservatory in Bologna, Italy, where I took other courses: Ear training jazz (recognizing chords by ear), conducting, entertainment law, video game composition, etc. In the creative field, an experience that also brought me a lot was composing a soundtrack for the Helmo fashion school's fashion show in Liège, as well as coordinating the live music performance of all the instrumentalists I was part of. At the moment, I am also finishing the creation of a soundtrack for a theatrical production by a friend and colleague who recently graduated in theatre from the Mons Conservatory.      During my years of experience teaching piano, I loved most of all seeing the student become more and more passionate about music, come back with a request for a piece to play with stars in their eyes, see the youngest ones having fun playing, pass on my taste for improvisation, and of course see the person progress. Do not hesitate to contact me for more questions!

Harmony, melody and rhythm is what music is made of. That's all. Those three things. Although sometimes these things can be hard to distinguish. Feeling music is a completely different story though and is not something you can measure or maybe even define. With understanding the basics or more profound structures in music you might find a new dimension with the feeling and appreciation you have for the sounds that you love. Answers, exercises, solutions. We can find them together in a quest to find your questions about eartraining and jazzpiano. We can work on fingerings with exercises in partition, specific voicings, left- and right hand coördination, eartraining exercises from beginner up to conservatory level and more specific issues. I studied three years jazzpiano at the Lemmens Conservatory in Leuven, Belgium and played keys in a pop/funk band based in Brussels for about the same amount of time. Now i work in construction but still play piano everyday because music is beautiful!
