Hey! My name is Seán, and I am an Irish singer-songwriter based in London with 2 years of teaching experience. I teach a range of disciplines, including piano, guitar, vocals, songwriting, and music theory. Having taught students of all ages and different levels of musicianship, I am pleased to say that I have built long-lasting relationships with many of my students. With an emphasis on creativity and student input; my lessons allow students to discover their own playing style and musical direction. I strongly believe that people learn best when they enjoy what they’re doing, and I incorporate this into my teaching style. I strongly encourage my students to bring their own ideas and suggestions to the lessons; that way they can learn a piece of music that they really like. With a background in classical music, I underpin my lessons with useful technical exercises that encourage dexterity, time-keeping and fluency. Finally, I encourage all my students to learn at least the fundamentals of music theory and sight reading. Striking a healthy balance between diligent exercises, music theory and fun musical expression, my lessons allow students to explore their musicality on all fronts. Hi, I’m Sarah! I am both an Opera Singer and a classroom Music Teacher. My love for teaching and singing have always lived side by side. I constantly seek any opportunity to share my passion, whether that be in front of an audience or a classroom of students. I have always loved expressing myself through music, regardless of the genre. In fact, in a past life, I really wanted to be a country singer. My operatic technique allows me to sing over a full orchestra without a microphone, and without causing vocal damage. You will learn microphone technique, as well as performance techniques that will help you to better convey a character to an audience. Music Theory can be daunting, or even boring. With over a decade of professional experience as a teacher, copyist/arranger, performer & composer, I can teach you or your child Music Theory in a bitesize, friendly way. This class would be ideal for those who are: - studying for any theory exams with ABRSM or Rockschool/Trinity, from Grade 1 all the way up to Grade 8. - applying to a college/university degree programme where they might need to brush up on their theory knowledge or qualification - an enthusiastic or gifted musician in practice, who wants to contextualise and bolster their general understanding with the 'whys'/'hows' of music, and not just the 'whats'.

I have just completed my music degree where I specialised in contemporary classical singing and opera. I have experience singing jazz, pop and musical theatre and have completed one year on a Vocal Studies course at a Music Conservatoire. I have Grade VIII in Violin and Classical Voice, Grade VI in piano and Pop and Jazz Vocals and recently achieved a 1st for my final degree recital and composition. The techniques that you gain from classical training can be applied to all genres and give a strong foundation to be able to perform any music you may be interested in. I care a lot about making music education accessible to everyone, and always adjust my teaching style to meet the individual student's strengths and weaknesses. I have a Bachelors degree from Cambridge University in Music, and a Masters degree in Voice from the Royal College of Music. I have 8 years' experience teaching music.

This is a class intended for anyone looking to improve their musicianship and keyboard skills. Whether you're interested in playing classical music or popular tunes this class is meant to give you the technical guidance and musical knowledge required to achieve your goals. The curriculum will be tailored to match the student's level and interests, with the possibility to focus more on performance, composition or theory. We will cover practice tips and students will get to pick their repertoire or bring forward pieces they'd like to work on.

I cultivate students' interest in piano playing and musical development by teaching instrumental techniques, scales, music theory, and sight reading. I am welcomes students of all ages, backgrounds, and skills levels.

I'm available to teach any level of Music Theory from Grade 1-8, or provide any help with GCSE or A-Level Music exams. I can also give lessons on Aural and Sight-reading if desired. In this class we can cover the basics of Music Theory, or prepare students for Grade 5 exams or other assesments.

I have a real passion for music and that's why I would love to help inspire and guide new musicians on their quest to learn the violin. Age is irrelevant when it comes to my lessons but the most important thing is that the student comes with a real incentive to learn. Everyone's musical journey is different and many people decide to learn an instrument for a different reason. Therefore, the regular structure for a lesson would very much differ from person to person. For example, beginners would mostly focus on sight-reading, proper form and technique. However, someone with a slight musical background could begin by learning pieces that they want to play and I would guide them with how to encompass the piece better and make slight adjustments to their technique along the way. When it comes to young children, I've worked in nursery and primary schools with ages from 3-7. The most important thing is that they have fun during the lessons and gain a real respect for music early on. Technique, theory and sight-reading are still incredibly important but what's most important is that the child is having an enjoyable time while learning. I have a strong musical background as I've been playing violin and piano for 14 years, I also have a great understanding of music theory. I've performed in multiple concerts of sizes of up to 5000 attendees. I was also established enough to have achieved a full music scholarship to a performing arts secondary school and college. At GCSE I achieved an A* in music and I would be more than happy to help GCSE music students with their music theory and/or composition piece.
