As for me, after a bachelor's degree in piano and a master's degree in international soloist, I am doing my second master's degree in piano pedagogy at the Haute École de Musique in Geneva. I have been giving piano lessons for 4 years, doing replacements at the Geneva and Friborg conservatories, with great pleasure. I'm happy to send it to you ;)

I teach with a solid classical base (position, left/right hand technique) while giving the student basics of harmony (chords, song accompaniment), improvisation (scales, blues, etc.) and solo (polyphonic) or duo pieces. I am open to all proposals from the student. You will learn to listen and play according to your desires and your progress, the priority of my teaching is the pleasure of music and artistic creativity as well as the foundation of a solid and healthy technique at the service of it.

Passionate about the violin, with 17 years of practice behind months, I now propose to transmit music. A graduate of the Conservatoire Régional de Grenoble (DEM, France), I have many orchestras, chamber music projects and competitions in my baggage. I listen to the student to choose the pieces and the learning format that corresponds to him. Very adaptable and enthusiastic, I will propose musical projects in line with the student's expectations (group music, single piece, from any era and any style). Also graduated in Music Training (music theory), I can also provide my support in this learning. For the little ones, I can do musical awakening, the animation of workshops. I play classical, jazz, and world music. I also sing. Curious, I like to discover and share new styles and songs! Hello! My name is Sofian and I am a student at the University of Lausanne. The piano has been my passion since very young and it's been 2 years since I decided to put my musical knowledge to good use in order to transmit this passion and to give lessons alongside my studies. -------------------------------- Important information: I am currently abroad until the start of the school year in September. Classes will resume on my return but do not hesitate to write to me now, I can be contacted at any time for more information :) -------------------------------- I offer piano lessons for beginners, intermediates and advanced. The aim of the teaching is to combine pleasure, by quickly playing pieces adapted to your level, and a minimum of theoretical learning (music theory). Promise, I try to make it nice! However, each student is unique and I am not limited to a rigid learning method: pleasure above all. At the organizational level, the principle is as follows: you can choose to book 1, 5 or 10 45-minute lessons (that's what I recommend, but 30 or 60-minute lessons are also possible). I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

Hello! I've been teaching continuously for over 10 years, and I'd like to explain what you can expect from a class with me. Personalized approach: The most important thing is to know what you want to achieve. I will tailor the lessons to your needs: playing for pleasure at home is not the same as preparing for entrance exams (although always with the same rigor). Your goals will influence the methodology, the organization of your studies, the repertoire, and so on. Relaxed (but rigorous) environment: Once you've defined your goals, classes will be dynamic and pressure-free. Note! "Relaxed" doesn't mean undemanding; we'll just avoid military methods—especially given my personality and sense of humor. Music, not just notes: My methods are very dynamic, with a special emphasis on hearing and musicality. No "read, play, and turn the page." I avoid approaches obsessed with reading sheet music without memorizing, listening, or understanding what is being played. I want you to own your performance and make artistic decisions. Warning! I might even make you sing. No stylistic barriers: Thanks to my training in Jazz and Modern Music, I give equal importance to all genres.
