Damiano is an Italian pianist, composer and arranger. He was born and raised in the small Apulian town of Trani, and began his classical music studies in 2015 at the conservatory ‘Niccolò Piccinni’ in Bari under the supervision of Cinzia Falco. After graduating in classical piano in October 2018, Damiano continued studying at the same institution by attending the master's degree course.
Damiano performed in numerous venues, playing several concercerts including:

the holiday season concerts at the "Domenico Sarro" association of Trani in 2016
the concert for "The musical creativity of musicians" at the Auditorium "Nino Rota" performing the compositions of various directors of the conservatory "N. Piccinni" in 2017
a piano concert at the Diocesan Museum old town of Taranto
the piano recital in Martina Franca for the "PianoLab" 2018 and 2019
various editions of the Piano City Napoli Festival (2018-2019)
the inauguration of a new piano festival: the CosenzaPianoFest
at the third edition of "Classical music under the stars" in the town of Trani
in Groningen, the Netherlands, in the AE Hall of the Prins Claus Conservatory
at the Eutherpe Hall located in Leon, Spain in February 2020

Strongly interested in music harmony, Damiano takes care of every musical aspect while playing and studying. He pays close attention to both the harmonical and technical aspect of a music piece. This personal attitude not only helps him to expand his repertoire but also his existing harmonic knowledged with new compositional elements. This is the reason why he continues to pursue his compositional studies.

Hi, I'm Sterre! In 2024 I got my bachelor's degree in classical piano at the conservatory in Rotterdam. I'm currently doing my master's degree at the Prins Claus Conservatory in Groningen. I regularly give concerts, besides that I also really enjoy giving piano lessons to children and adults who are motivated to learn to play this instrument! I give piano lessons in Groningen.

My passion for playing the piano started when I was 11 years old. I was staying with a friend who had a piano. At first I wasn't very interested, but by chance I had a piano app on my phone that allowed you to play the easy version of Für Elise and other pieces. Because I thought it would be more fun to play on a real piano, I sat down at it. I enjoyed it so much that I played the piano the rest of the day!

Later I got a piano myself. I taught myself to read notes and the theory around it. I progressed very quickly, because within a year I was accepted to the preparatory course of the conservatory in Rotterdam. (Havo/Vwo for music and dance.) When I finished the preparatory course I continued with the Bachelor at the Rotterdam conservatory. At the moment I am studying in the first year of my Master.

Piano lessons:
First we discuss your goals with each other to see where you want to grow towards. I then adapt my lessons accordingly.

Furthermore, I find it important to focus the lessons on the basic principles of piano playing. Notation, rhythmic skills and a good body and hand position. In addition, I find it very important to teach expression and musicality. But the most important thing is to have fun playing the piano!

Anyone can learn to play the piano!
From the age of 5 I also give piano lessons to children. I teach in a playful way to keep it interesting for children. I work with a nice lesson book with nice assignments and clear explanations.
