About Me

I am a freelance jazz pianist, composer, and arranger who is currently attending New York Jazz Master in Groningen, Netherlands.

SHORT BIO:
I began learning the piano when I was 12 years old thanks to my mother, who was a Russian classical pianist. I've been studying classical piano repertoire for 10 years. My classical piano training resulted in a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano at the "A. Scarlatti" Conservatoire in Palermo, Italy. As a classical pianist, I performed in several piano competitions in Italy achieving several awards. I have also a Master of Music degree in Jazz Performance from the same conservatoire.
As a jazz pianist, I've performed in several jazz festivals in Italy with my own trio.
I work also as a freelance jazz composer and arranger.

PRIVATE Music Lessons: electric bass, improvisation, composition, music theory.
The class I propose as a private teacher cover the following subjects: -Bass Guitar: we will cover elements such as technique (from basic to advanced), groove, timing, soloing, creating catchy basslines in different genres (Jazz, Pop, Rock, Funk, World Music, etc..) -Improvisation: idiomatic (related to music-genre) and non-idiomatic -Composition and Music theory: study of harmony, scales, melody, creative musical-writing. All these subjects are interconnected in the lesson! N.B. IMPROVISATION, COMPOSITION AND MUSIC THEORY ARE OPEN TO ALL INSTRUMENTALISTS!! The first lesson with a new student is always an opportunity for the student to express what he likes about music. During the first lesson I usually propose my favorite music to the new student, and the the student does the same. The first lesson is the first approach in knowing each other, so that I can tailor a study programme that fits perfectly my student. By developing the just-mentioned study programme I guarantee that practice is linked to pleasure, cuoriosity and discover! Regular practice is also ensured by giving the student exciting and challenging assignments, that at the same time are doable. In this way I guarantee both satisfaction and challenge.

Learn to Play Piano (Jazz, Accompanying, Songwriting, Music Theory)
Hello there, ever since I was a teenager I have always admired musicians in small and gigantic stages alike, and have wondered how such marvelous magic could possibly be created from their fingertips. If you are reading this, then maybe you feel the same way towards the piano as I do! I can offer myself to explore with you, with my experiences coming from jazz piano playing, how it works on the piano: basic playing skills, chords and how to voice them, playing solo lines, harmonic knowledge to write your own song, learning to read a lead sheet with only melody and chords, and so many more. Here are some of the goals that you and I can work together to make it happen: 1) Learn to play your favorite tunes on piano or electric piano 2) Learn to accompany yourself while you are singing 3) Learn to play in a band setting 4) Learn to write and play your own songs 5) Learn the keyboard skills for your home production gears (i.e. MIDI keyboard controllers) 6) Learn to improvise on the piano Now, a little bit about myself; the moment I decided that I should try for music came much later compared to my colleagues. I started very late, and thus had to come up with methods of teaching myself fast and efficiently. And I believe that my own experiences coming from the struggles I've had could be of help to you, to understand the task at the hand better and to come up with plans on how to handle them. Still, at the end of the day, progress by itself would be not our ultimate goal; it would be to have fun sitting in front of the piano! If you are interested, hit me up!

I offer lessons of piano playing to any person who wants to start with the instrument or want to improve their skills. i have worked with kids and adults. My formation is from classic piano, being that my main activity of study. I have played different styles aswell, from jazz to neo soul, and I also enjoy playing piano through midi and produce music. Lately I have been creating lo fi piano music so I think I can offer a wide range of different styles. I like to work listening to the demands of my students, and not imposing repertory that doesn't come from the desire of the student, although I can offer some guidelines in order to make the progress of the student more organize and consistent.

Piano and Guitar Classes for Entry levels, Beginners, and Intermediates
I teach Entry level/Beginner/ Intermediate Piano and Guitar lessons with a focus on different styles, techniques, and rhythms from a broad base of musical genres. Classes are designed for aspiring musicians with some musical background and also those with little or none. Each lesson is designed to keep the student at the peak of their abilities by giving both challenging new pieces and reinforcing their own technical skill. I also put some emphasis on incorporating students' own personal musical tastes and styles to bring their passion to the music they want to play. The first lesson is free. We can get to know each other and you can get an idea for how the lessons will be taught while letting me know what elements you'd like to focus on in the future.

Learn Piano and Improvisation and practice other languages :)
The most important matter that I could write here about is my passion to teach. I've been teaching already for more than 10 years, from kids to adults. I'm a classical pianist, but I am opened to other musical styles. What I want you to get from your lessons with me, is not only a huge knowledge of theorical stuff or a great technique, I would like to show you my musical world, the imagination and inner exploration that is required to understand and to love music in a whole new level. Once you have found them, it will be very hard to quit playing! The class duration: You can choose! 20 minutes (Great for the youngest : 3 years old) 30 minutes (Ideal for young beginners from 4 years old) 45 minutes (Intermediate+ adult beginners) 1 hour (Intermediate and combined with some Music Theory) I use different methods depending on: 1) The goals of my student 2) The language that we will use on class 3) Age and musical preferences: I start to teach children from 3 years old, we make games and they learn to play through musical stories that I have created throughout my pedagogical career.
