My lessons are aimed at high-school level computer science (IT) pupils (AHS/BHS in Austria, “Gymnasium”/“Berufsgymnasium” in Germany), as well as entry-level university students and trainees in IT-heavy apprenticeships (“Lehrberuf” in Austria/Germany). The length and type of each individual lesson can vary based on the needs and wishes of my clients (project-related several hour-long blocks, weekly 60/90/120 minutes, interventions before tests/deadlines, ...). I try to lead my students to suitable solutions by asking specific questions, drawing on previously covered material as necessary to establish links aiding them in their understanding of the subject matter at hand. If all else fails, I’ll suggest a solution to my student and discuss with them how they could have derived this solution by themselves. Subjects we could work on include: databases, Linux/Unix, Web, microcontrollers, networking, server-administration, system-level programming, regular expressions, object orientation, state machines, ...
