In this class, I will transfer to you all my competencies about classical trumpet techniques and how to apply that in a jazz improvisation. My teaching approach is not made by a universal method, I intend to personalize the method for what you need now to achieve your goals.

I started my musical path playing Euphonium and my very first period, and I always wanted to be able to play all the brass instruments. I play Trumpet in some projects of mine here in Holland, for Jazz and Pop bands, and I’m studying Trumpet in a musical way to be professional in stage with it. My classical studies gave me a good knowledge about the “Brass Technique”, mainly for Trombone, Trumpet and Tuba. I can teach you how to make sound in the proper way to don’t have any problems in the future, and we can find out together what you need to reach the level you desire. I can let you try the Trumpet in your lesson, but I do not have the other instrument, in the case of Euphonium, Flugelhorn, Horn and Tuba, you must bring your own instrument from the beginning. In this course we will take car about the quality of the sound, the way you make sound, general techniques and develop of musicality. We will always touch some things such Ear Training, Singing, Breathing, our goal is to reach an healthy way to play, developing all the musical skills you need.

The trombone, trumpet or piano seem hard instruments to learn, but with the right approach it's a fun and enjoyable process filled with small tasks that will make you improve and have fun at the same time. The same goes with music theory and composition; the classes are structured in a way that you wont feel overwhelmed with too much information because the goals and method will be set based on your level and needs. Hi, My name is Justine, I got my bachelor's degree at the Brussels Conservatory a year ago and I'm now studying pedagogy in Paris. I can teach beginners and intermediate players in cornet, trumpet or bugle. I am quite flexible in the methods used, there are always plenty of ways to help you progress.
