I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

Welcome to my piano teaching studio! I am a professional pianist offering private piano and theory lessons for students of all levels. As a pianist with over 14 years of teaching experience in Europe and the USA, as well as over 23 years of playing/performing, I enjoy motivating my students with music of their own preferred style and interest, whether that be classical or contemporary. My main goal is to promote a positive experience and love for music-making during the learning process. If the student is interested in a more structured approach, I guide preparation for grades 1-8 of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) piano and music theory exams where my students consistently receive highest marks. I also have successful experience preparing students for conservatory entrance auditions, masterclasses, and competitions in the Europe, the USA, India, and Canada. We have class concerts at Pianos Maene for interested students twice per year. I am happy to provide either a more relaxed or a serious approach to learning piano, we simply need to discuss the personal goals and preferences of each student. My own studies are as follows: I have obtained two postgraduate performance degrees at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp: "Concertsoloist" in Piano Performance and "Chamber Music” (under the guidance of esteemed professor Sergei Edelmann). Prior to this, I received my Bachelor and Masters degrees in Piano Performance/Music from the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis (with Prof. Lydia Artymiw) and Texas Christian University, Fort Worth (with Dr. Tamas Ungar). My experience includes collaboration with many different instrumentalists and singers, performing as a soloist and collaborative member in several orchestras, and receiving top prizes in several competitions. While maintaining my performance and recording career in Belgium at present, I am developing my private music studio in central Antwerp and look forward to meeting new students.

Professor with a Higher Diploma in Piano from the Liceu Conservatory of Music in Barcelona and specializing in Spanish music from the Frank Marshall Academy (founded by Enrique Granados). My curriculum is comprehensive and progressive. My teaching method focuses primarily on good sight-reading, combined with refined piano technique. I also address learning difficulties such as postural problems, tension, and faulty touch. My piano technique is based on the Enrique Granados school and his specific touch-based method, emphasizing sound and proper pedal use. We will work on three basic sections: technique exercises, studies, and works from all styles (Baroque, Classical, Romantic, etc.). We will also cover music theory (theory + daily exercises from the ABSRM method), solfège, choral singing, written ear training, score analysis, and concert listening exercises. In addition to my in-person lessons, my online classes feature high-quality audio and video specifically designed for musicians: via the Zoom video call app (with settings that typically offer better sound for piano), and using OBS production software so you can clearly see the keyboard and hands from different angles. Sound is captured with Behringer stereo microphones (piano) and a separate microphone for vocals, and multiple screens are used to combine sheet music, explanation, and real-time demonstration. The goal is to make the online lesson as close as possible to an in-person class. I have 30 years of experience as a teacher. In December 2022, she received the title of laureate at the Prague Conservatory's international competition “Young Piano”, where she was also awarded the main prize "Young Piano Talent". In 2021, she won 2nd prize and a special prize for her interpretation of Stravinsky/Agosti's Firebird (1st prize not awarded) in the international competition Virtuosi per musica di pianoforte, 3rd prize in the international competition Bach's Way in Dobřany and 3rd prize in the Brno ́s piano competition. In the year 2020, she was awarded the "Pilsen ́s Orfeus'' award for representing the Pilsen region in the field of classical music, namely for the 3rd prize in the “Broumov key” competition. She has performed with several orchestras in the Czech republic. In the season 2024/2025 she performed with Janáčkova Filharmonie in Ostrava as a soloist of the first Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto. In June 2023 and 2025 she was invited to the Academy in Villecroze for masterclass. In 2021, she got the opportunity to attend the Ševčík Academy in the class of Lukáš Vondráček and Yuri Shadrin. Now she collaborates with Ševčík academy as an accompanist.

Composer and experienced piano teacher David is offering piano lessons for all ages, - particularly interested in new adult students. Complete beginners through to advanced. With over 12 years teaching experience, David's lessons can be tailored to all objectives – with a focus on imparting an understanding of music as a deep language, and on developing a sensitive and powerful technique. In addition to classical piano and, music theory, David can also help you explore simple approaches to begin composing if you with to explore your creative talents. Alternatively, lessons can be approached as therapy (in a non formal sense) and leisure. The focus is classical music and classical methods but we will dive into other styles occasionally if you would like. Majority of sheet music included in the class price. Lessons take place at my place in Ixelles. I may also be able to come to your place depending on location. A very small amount of online students can be accepted to help with accessibility or other reasons. David is represented an Associate Composer of the Australian Music Centre, now working in Brussels. He holds a Bachelor of Creative Arts from the University of Melbourne, performance Diplomas (pianoforte) from the Asssociated Board of the Royal Schools of Music in the UK and AMEB in Australia, and recently graduated with high marks from the post-graduate degree programme in Film Scoring and Orchestration at Lisbon's National Academy of Adanced Orchestral Studies (ANSO). David is a friendly, very sensitive and experienced teacher with a natural understanding of pedagogy who promises to make your lessons relaxing and exciting.

She lives in Utrecht and studies at the Rotterdam Codarts Conservatory of Music, and has already a master's degree from the Utrecht Conservatory (with pedagogical training as well) She teaches in English, Spanish, Italian, German and soon in Dutch. Lessons can take place at your place or at my place (in the centre of Utrecht) as I have a beautiful grand piano at my disposal. My name is Mar and I am a 26-year-old professional pianist (with pedagogical training) graduated from the master degree in Classical Piano Performance as soloist at the Utrecht Conservatory, now studying a second master in Piano Performance in Rotterdam, Codarts. I have been working for 12 years as a piano and music teacher (I started very very young, when I was 14 years old, because I always liked teaching): I have experience in private lessons and official state music schools, with children from 2 years and adults of all levels, both individually and in groups. I have taught piano, music and movement for children, music theory, solfeggio and choir. I finished my bachelor studies with the highest marks, I have experience as a concert performer and have won many international prizes in competitions as well as scholarships prizes. I offer piano lessons suitable for students of all ages and levels. I have two Master's Degrees in Piano and 8 years of teaching experience working with children as young as 4 years old as well as adults. I aim to make my lesson fun and engaging while incorporating the essential theory and musicianship skills needed to provide a well-rounded musical education. Each student is different, so I therefore create an individual curriculum for each one, allowing them to learn at their own pace while playing music they enjoy! Lessons take place near Hardbrücke or at the student's location. I know that piano lessons are a big financial commitment, so I offer a trial lesson so we can get a chance to know each other and see if we are the right fit!
