Als afgestudeerde bio-ingenieur in de scheikunde heb ik eerst 10 jaar in de privé sector gewerkt. Daarna ben ik overgestapt naar het onderwijs. Ondertussen geef ik met heel veel plezier al 17 jaar chemie in tweede en derde graad secundair onderwijs. Ik hou oprecht van mijn job en wil mijn ervaring graag gebruiken om leerlingen die het moeilijk hebben met dit vak te helpen. Mijn vertrekpunt is altijd de eigen cursus van de leerling, maar daarnaast beschik ik ook over veel eigen oefenmateriaal en proeftoetsen.

Ik help leerlingen ook bij hun voorbereiding voor het toelatingsexamen arts/tandarts. Ook dit is dus een mogelijkheid.

About Me

Na mijn studies van bio-ingenieur, heb ik eerst 5 jaar in de chemische productie van Janssen Pharmaceutica gewerkt, en daarna 5 jaar bij BRS (een vzw die aan ontwikkelingssamenwerking doet). Het was echter bij de overstap naar het onderwijs dat ik mijn droomjob had gevonden. Al 17 jaar geef ik met veel passie chemie, in 3e, 5e en 6e jaar secundair onderwijs.
Mijn ervaring deel ik heel graag met leerlingen die het wat moeilijker hebben met dit vak. Ik vertrek hierbij steeds van het lesmateriaal van de leerling zelf. Daarnaast beschik ik uiteraard over een heel arsenaal aan extra oefeningen en toetsvragen.

Ik volgde de opleiding bio-ingenieur in de scheikunde aan de KULeuven. Nadien nog een specialisatiejaar Food Science And Nutrition aan de UGent, gecombineerd met een lerarenopleiding. Ook tijdens mijn carrière heb ik me blijven bijscholen.

I graduated from Portland State University with a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics before coming to KU Leuven to work on my Master's Degree (and eventually PhD) in Astronomy.

I have tutored and taught mathematics up through ordinary differential equations but also at younger levels (like secondary or high school level mathematics). I graduated from one on the top french engineering school (ESPCI) where I studied applied mathematics, physics and chemistry. I gave lessons to students from high school but also university students for several years.
