My name is Hamna, and I am a qualified Aalima from Pakistan with a strong passion for teaching the Quran and Islamic knowledge. Over the past several years, I have gained valuable experience in teaching Qaida, Quran recitation, Tajweed, Hifz, Arabic language, Duas, and Islamic studies to both children and adults. I have taught online and in-person, and my students come from different countries and backgrounds, which has helped me develop a flexible teaching style that works for learners of all ages.

Growing up in Pakistan in an environment of Islamic learning, I was blessed with the opportunity to dedicate my life to studying and teaching Islam. As an Aalima, I believe that teaching the Quran is not just about reading correctly, but also about understanding, loving, and practicing it in our daily lives. My goal as a teacher is to help every student build a strong connection with the Book of Allah and develop confidence in reciting and applying it.

I am very patient and kind, especially when working with children. I guide them step by step, starting from Qaida (basic Arabic reading) and leading them towards fluent Quran recitation with Tajweed and even memorization (Hifz) if they wish. For adults, I make learning simple and motivating, whether you are a complete beginner or someone looking to improve your Tajweed and recitation.

In addition to teaching the Quran, I also teach daily Duas, Islamic manners, and basic Arabic, so that students can not only recite the Quran beautifully but also understand and practice Islam in their everyday life.

I believe in creating a comfortable and positive learning environment, where students can ask questions freely and feel supported in their journey. Parents are always welcome to be involved in their children’s learning, and I make sure to provide regular updates about their progress.

I was born in Istanbul in 1983. I started teaching Turkish while studying Turkish Language and Literature at university. I worked in a language school and at universities. I have been teaching Turkish professionally for more than 16 years. I also taught Turkish for 5 years when I was a university student. In 2018, I obtained a TESOL certificate and also began teaching English.

I teach both adults and children. Creating a comfortable learning environment for my students is one of my top priorities. If you would like to learn Turkish or English in a consistent and structured way, I would be happy to work with you.

I hold firmly to two main principles: creating a comfortable space for learning and building an encouraging atmosphere.

Even though I use a communicative approach, my lessons are supported by a solid understanding of grammar, as Turkish has a very different structure.

I use the course book set prepared by Istanbul University. It follows a strategic approach to learning Turkish and includes all language skills—reading, grammar, writing, listening, watching, and speaking—from A1 to C2. All of these skills are essential for conversation.

I teach English for the A1 and A2 levels.

The workbook offers many exercises for homework or revision, and I support the book with my own authentic materials. I also use an interactive board that you can view anytime, and you can edit it as well. Repetition-based speaking practice plays an important role in my lessons.

I speak English well, and a bit of Italian, and I have also studied Persian and German grammar. I am interested in literature.
