As a private tutor, my approach is based on three fundamental principles: listening, adapted teaching, and student empowerment. 1) Listening accompanied by kindness is the key to achieving understanding and learning. - I then take care to identify the student's level by taking into account their strengths as well as their weaknesses. - What is the goal the student wants to achieve. 2) A pedagogy based on kindness! Methodology: I don't just teach "what to do," but more importantly, "how to do it." I then encourage the student to reformulate to ensure they understand. 3) Move towards student autonomy! I make sure that the student feels confident in their learning: this will allow them to refine what they have understood. Afterwards, I will encourage them to reflect: to ask questions in order to encourage critical thinking and curiosity. 4) I adapt the language level 5) Guide learning through play: Mind maps, diagrams, analogies, little games, etc. In short, I see my role not as that of a "lesson giver," but as a guide who accompanies, stimulates, reassures, and enables the student to learn on their own. The ultimate goal: that they no longer need me.
