Hi! I'm Maiah, currently a university student studying Economics and Finance. My journey with mathematics started back in secondary school, where GCSE Maths was my absolute favourite subject—it sparked a passion that has stayed with me ever since. I went on to study Mathematics at A-Level, deepening my understanding and love for the subject. Now, I'm excited to share that passion and knowledge with others.

I have a solid grasp of the Edexcel GCSE Maths specification, which I use as a foundation in my tutoring sessions. While I may not have formal teaching experience, I have significant experience working with young people. I'm currently hosting a tuition program for my niece, who is preparing to move into Key Stage 4. She requires additional help and support in school, so I’ve been tailoring my approach to ensure she builds confidence and excels in her studies. This hands-on experience has taught me how to engage and support students with varying needs, and I’m eager to apply these skills in helping others.

Reading comprehensions and grammar will be taught according to what is required for each year group and finally with a focus on spelling, punctuation and grammar practise papers as will be completed during SATs. I cover a variety of comprehension style questions that are inline with SATs and will cover all the skills required including word meaning, retrieval and inference questions across non fiction, fiction and poetry examples.
