I'm a young professional musicians, based in Brussels.
I graduated with top marks in Conservatorio di Milano G. Verdi, after studying in Sibelius Academy ( Helsinki).
I work as a freelance musician and teacher in classical, jazz, contemporary and pop music.
I play french horn (s) and piano, and I'm experienced as a producer and music teacher.
besides normal lessons, I'm used to give public lecture and lessons about music history and colture.

I'm in love with all kinds of music made to connect people and to communicate, and my teaching goal is to share with student my passion, letting them experience it in the more engaging way possible.

Often considered a tiresome burden, music theory is to music what grammar is to language. It is a tool, a code that allows us to understand how our language works. Whether you're using words or notes, it's the same!
This is why it is important to learn music theory pragmatically, keeping in mind that it is here to help us understand different musical languages, not at all to impose strict rules. In fact, it would be unthinkable to learn the grammar of a language without ever seeing its relevance in everyday practice!

About me:
As a 25 year old pianist / drummer / composer / sound engineer / electronic producer / DJ, I offer my help to learn music theory and solfeggio, both in harmony and rhythm.
Currently a 3rd year student in Sound at INSAS, I studied musicology at ULB, and I practice music on a daily basis, whether as a pianist (improvisation, composition, learning jazz and classical pieces) or as a sound engineer and beatmaker.
Some information about my musical background:
- currently in my last year of piano studies (academy of Etterbeek)
- member of the jazz ensemble of the Forest academy (2nd year)
- regular concerts and composition in MAO (computer assisted music) for 7 years (mainly hip-hop)
- 7 years of private drum lessons + Brazilian percussion lessons (batucada)
- completed musical training (Etterbeek Academy, 4 years)
- 3 years of music writing and analysis courses in academy
- solo DJ as well as for a hip-hop group
- recording and mixing as a sound engineer as part of my studies and outside: music, cinema, sound creation, etc

The course:
Depending on your wishes and / or needs, we can orient the course towards different facets of music theory. Whether it's harmony, rhythm, analysis or sight-reading; whether your objective is knowledge, composition, improvisation or the practice of an instrument, I can adapt to you!
The first lesson is usually dedicated to assessing the student's level of knowledge and skills, and to establish together a draft programme for the following lessons.
The idea is to progress at your own pace, in a good mood!

This course is mainly intended for people starting out in music.

Have you always dreamed of learning the piano or would you like to have some basic Solfege skills to start learning another instrument? You've come to the right place, I'm happy to teach these two subjects which have fascinated me since I was little. Lessons can be given at my home, rue Vergote or at your home if you have a piano. Are you a beginner?? No worries: no experience is required! 😁
I can teach you the basics to produce sounds with your saxophone: position of the embouchure (teeth, tongue, lips and vocal cords' position, an element often forgotten), fingerings, use of diafragma,...
After the first two lessons spent on the mouthpiece and neck for the sound production, we will immediately start to play some super easy duos together to practice your capacity of listening, pay attention to the other, ear training as well. I normally use the book of Peter Wastall (titled Learn as you play) as support, but it is not mandatory. There are plenty of good books btw!

Are you an intermediate / advanced student?? I am sure you can still improve in all the basics, but on a different level. I'll teach you the importance of the "voicing" (technique named by the american saxophonist and pedagogue Donald Sinta) to improve your sound production and projection as well as the capacity of correcting and improving the intonation. You can learn all about phrasing and music interpretation, from tonal music until contemporary atonal compositions. And still, you can improve your playing together, practicing in duo on different aspects like tuning, balance, interpretation, performance etc.

If you want to learn to play the clarinet, make further progress or learn solfège, you've come to the right place! I offer both solfège and clarinet lessons for beginners and more advanced students. I live in Leuven but I am available throughout Brussels and Leuven. Lessons are possible in Dutch, French or English.

If you take the time to learn the clarinette, read the progress and receive the course of the solfège, you will enjoy the end! You propose the course of solfège and clarinette for the debutants and the young people plus advances. Your habit in Louvain is always available in Brussels and Louvain. Les cours peuvent être dispensés en Dutch, en français ou en English.

Graduated from the Lyon Conservatory in cello, musical training and with a double Master's degree in cello and double bass from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels

I give lessons for all levels, all ages.

You like Bach suites for solo cello, the music of Telemann, Chopin, tangos, etc. It is possible to learn music at any age and I would be happy to support you on your journey.

You do not have an instrument, I will lend you one during the first lesson and can guide you in your search for an instrument afterwards.

I teach at my home, at yours in Ixelles, Etterbeek, Saint-Gilles, Forest, Uccle, Watermael-Boitsfort and in Brussels. Possibility of giving lessons by Zoom or other.

I focus on giving saxophone lessons to people with a solid or basic foundation who wants to improve or start improvising. This course is especially for those who feel stagnant in improving their music skills. I will actively analyse your areas for improvement and provide personal guidance and methods. I am very aware that each person thinks differently while improvising: personal exercises are given, depending on your needs.

Applied music theory lessons are a support of this class. I integrate chord theory into practical saxophone lessons, making a key connection between ear and theory.

I started playing classical saxophone, and I am currently a Jazz saxophone student at the conservatory of Brussels. Switching to Jazz made me analyse my own behaviour in improvising, which I find a crucial step in development.

Payment method & frequency of the lessons:
Based on a period of 1 month, 2 months, or 3 months, students will be asked to fulfill the payment prior to the beginning of the lessons. We suggest attendance on a weekly basis to benefit the most from these courses.

I teach beginner and intermediate music theory and piano. In my lessons, we will cover rhythm, reading, intonation, and ear training.
