I have worked in Canada as a teacher in French Immersion Schools for over 10 years, teaching French, English and other Primary and Middle School subjects.
Having moved to Portugal in 2019, I now work at two International Schools on a casual basis, and am looking to tutoring as a good way to help local people with their English and French. I enjoy helping students with mathematics also, up to the end of Primary school.

During my high school education in Portugal, I found myself unchallenged and unmotivated by the math curriculum. Seven years later, as a mathematician at the beginning of my academic career, I think I'm an ideal tutor for students in a similar position—interested in math but not quite finding what they need at school. I'm also available to help more advanced students (from university or beyond) who need advice and direction on university-level topics. Additionally, I'm happy to help adults who need help restarting their mathematical education or filling in gaps in their understanding.

I'm interested in talking about anything mathematical, from linear inequalities to Hilbert's Nullstellensatz. I'm also familiar with computer science, both in theory and practice. As an Erasmus visiting Porto, I would like to share my knowledge of French with Portuguese people. French is my first language, and I speak English fluently. However, I don't speak Portuguese very well.
