As a private tutor, I focus on simplifying complex engineering and scientific concepts to enable students to fully understand the underlying principles, not just memorize formulas. I use the following: Clear and organized explanations specifically designed for each topic. Real-world engineering examples to link theory with practical applications. Solve problems step by step to build strong analytical and mathematical skills. Visual teaching tools such as diagrams, charts, and physical explanations of formulas. Adaptive teaching that is tailored to the student's level, whether beginner or advanced. Building confidence by establishing the fundamentals before moving on to more challenging concepts. Sample lesson plan Introduction and review (5 minutes) A quick review of the previous material and key links. Lesson objective (2 minutes) A clear explanation of the objective of today's topic and its engineering importance. Explanation of the concept (15 minutes) The new concept is explained using diagrams, physical meaning, geometric examples, and intuitive logic. Guided problem solving (15 minutes) Working together on model issues to illustrate the correct methodology. Independent training (10 minutes) The student solves the problems independently while I provide feedback and correct misconceptions. Summary and Notes (5 minutes) Highlighting key concepts, clarifying errors, and recommending training materials. What sets me apart as a private tutor A deep understanding of engineering topics and the ability to explain them in simple and intuitive ways. A strong focus on the fundamentals, to ensure the student understands the logic behind each equation. Patience and clarity, to create a comfortable environment for asking questions. Engineering-based teaching, linking each subject to practical applications in mechanics, fluids, thermodynamics, and others. Organized and structured lessons with the ability to measure progress over time. Who are these lessons for? My lessons are ideal for: Engineering students at universities who study: Differential and Integral Calculus Physics Applied Mechanics Material resistance Engineering Mechanics (Statics and Dynamics) Fluid Mechanics and Hydraulics Thermodynamics and heat transfer Technical college students who need support in basic engineering sciences. Students who are preparing for exams, whether they are midterms, finals, or entrance exams for engineering colleges. Learners who have difficulty solving problems or wish to strengthen their engineering fundamentals. All levels, from beginners to advanced engineering students.

As a five-year-old child, I already knew that I wanted to become a 'Biologist'. I acquired knowledge of wild plants, shells, and fossils at a young age through my father, a primary school teacher. After working for several years as a microbiology analyst in a hospital laboratory, I went on to study Biology in Leiden. After my studies, I worked as a scientific researcher for 10 years at various universities in England and America. I also worked as a researcher at the Natural History Museum in London. I returned to the Netherlands at the end of 2017. Through my studies, my work as a scientific researcher, and as a medical analyst, I have developed broad subject-specific knowledge. I would like to use my knowledge and enthusiasm for Biology to help high school students and university students through tutoring, exam preparation, and thesis supervision. Furthermore, I am a great nature lover; I lead nature excursions and am a public guide at the Natural History Museum in Rotterdam. Giving tutoring lessons has helped me enormously to provide tailored guidance to pupils and students. I adapt to the wishes of the pupils or students and can illustrate theory with practical examples (daily life, nature, laboratory, research). Possibilities: - Biology tutoring (mostly online, sometimes on location) for VMBO, HAVO, VWO, MBO, and HBO; lower, upper, or exam year. - Thesis supervision or help with internship report (microbiology, laboratory, biology), also in English Long-term tutoring is possible, but also 1 or 2 lessons (as preparation for a test or exam, for example).

Spanish lessons with a native Argentine tutor — practical, personalized and confidence-focused Hello! I’m Vicky, a native Spanish teacher from Argentina and a multilingual online instructor with several years of experience working with students from different countries, ages, and learning goals. My lessons focus on helping you communicate naturally and confidently in real-life situations from the very beginning. Whether you are starting from zero or already speak Spanish, classes are adapted to your level, pace, and objectives. I work with: • Adults who want to improve conversation and fluency • Beginners who want clear step-by-step guidance • Intermediate and advanced students seeking more natural expression • Children and teenagers through dynamic, age-appropriate lessons • Families and homeschool students learning together • Professionals or travelers preparing to live, work, or travel in Spanish-speaking countries Lessons combine conversation practice, useful vocabulary, pronunciation improvement, and clear grammar explanations when needed. My approach is practical, structured, and supportive — creating a relaxed environment where mistakes are part of learning and progress happens naturally. Because I speak multiple languages (Spanish, English, and Italian + a bit of French and Portuguese), I understand the challenges of language learning and can guide students with patience and effective strategies.
