About Me

After 10 years spent at Radio France, I obtained my diploma (combining singing, music theory and piano) with honors at the age of 18.

Following this, I decided to study these two disciplines in more depth at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. After 3 years of training, I obtained my diploma in 2018.

Once I graduated, I went to study with Marie Vassiliou at the Guildhall School and the Royal Music Academy in London to prepare for competitions mainly in singing.

Having started teaching when I was a student at the conservatory, I have now been teaching music to young people for almost 8 years and I am happy to continue to pass on my passion for singing and the piano.

As an experienced music teacher, I offer recorder and music theory lessons for children and adults of all ages and skill levels!

Originally from Brazil, I have been teaching music for several years. A graduate of the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, I have extensive experience as a music teacher, having given private lessons and taught in music academies in Belgium and elsewhere. I develop a unique method for each student so that they can learn in a solid and enjoyable way.

The recorder is an easy instrument to learn, making it a great opportunity for children to begin their musical journey. For adults... If you're a beginner, don't worry!

With several years of experience in teaching the violin, my lessons are for everyone, whatever your desires. I adapt my method according to the wish as well as the age of the student, and starting an instrument as an adult should not be a brake.

Are you a beginner?? No worries: no experience is required! 😁
I can teach you the basics to produce sounds with your saxophone: position of the embouchure (teeth, tongue, lips and vocal cords' position, an element often forgotten), fingerings, use of diafragma,...
After the first two lessons spent on the mouthpiece and neck for the sound production, we will immediately start to play some super easy duos together to practice your capacity of listening, pay attention to the other, ear training as well. I normally use the book of Peter Wastall (titled Learn as you play) as support, but it is not mandatory. There are plenty of good books btw!

Are you an intermediate / advanced student?? I am sure you can still improve in all the basics, but on a different level. I'll teach you the importance of the "voicing" (technique named by the american saxophonist and pedagogue Donald Sinta) to improve your sound production and projection as well as the capacity of correcting and improving the intonation. You can learn all about phrasing and music interpretation, from tonal music until contemporary atonal compositions. And still, you can improve your playing together, practicing in duo on different aspects like tuning, balance, interpretation, performance etc.
