Plus, with my help, we'll discover new ones. Each of my students receives an individual program to unlock their musical abilities.

During piano lessons, we will make music, improve our technical skills, develop our hearing, memory, and artistry, and, most importantly, make music! They say we can learn quickly if we truly enjoy the process!

I am a pianist particularly interested in piano pedagogy. I started playing the piano in my early childhood - at the age of 6. I completed my studies in Lithuania at the Vilnius Academy of Arts. I have experience teaching piano to children, youth, and adults, and it gives me a lot of joy and inspiration. I have always been passionate about music, I play three instruments, and I recently finished my piano studies at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in the class of Piet Kuijken. Are you a beginner?? No worries: no experience is required! 😁
I can teach you the basics to produce sounds with your saxophone: position of the embouchure (teeth, tongue, lips and vocal cords' position, an element often forgotten), fingerings, use of diafragma,...
After the first two lessons spent on the mouthpiece and neck for the sound production, we will immediately start to play some super easy duos together to practice your capacity of listening, pay attention to the other, ear training as well. I normally use the book of Peter Wastall (titled Learn as you play) as support, but it is not mandatory. There are plenty of good books btw!

Are you an intermediate / advanced student?? I am sure you can still improve in all the basics, but on a different level. I'll teach you the importance of the "voicing" (technique named by the american saxophonist and pedagogue Donald Sinta) to improve your sound production and projection as well as the capacity of correcting and improving the intonation. You can learn all about phrasing and music interpretation, from tonal music until contemporary atonal compositions. And still, you can improve your playing together, practicing in duo on different aspects like tuning, balance, interpretation, performance etc.

Lessons in piano, harpsichord, and historical and modern cello, with program and repertoire, adapted to the goals and speed of each student, whether young, not so young, or adult, for a general introduction to these instruments, for preparation for high music education, as a supplementary aid for exams in music academies, or for a hobby, or for amateur group music-making, or for developing qualities as concentration, coordination, discipline, expressibility, awareness of styles and music history.
In my teaching, I rely mostly on old traditional methods, books, and repertoire, which have proved their efficiency over the time. I also make use of the teaching tradition of partimenti of the old Neapolitan conservatories - exercises for composing that can be applied from early stage. This not only adds a creative element soon after very beginning, but also teaches via practice the basics of harmony and polyphony.
Lessons can be combined (+30min.) with theory/solfege (ear training), if the student wishes.

I have been teaching for more than 15 years, privately, in Brussels, and in New York in the past, more than 100 students.
I am a graduate of Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, in baroque cello and harpsichord, but I play also modern cello organ, and piano.

I don't use a specific method, but I like to work very specifically on all aspects of piano playing. We'll alternate between skills training and purely musical lessons, where you can apply the acquired skills or techniques to your pieces. This frees up more focus for the most important thing: making beautiful music.

Learining the guitar or improving your skills is a wonderfull journey. But like all journeys you'll find your way quicker with a good guide. I've been hiking around music and music teaching for over 20 years-so I know how to guide you. And what have I learned? The faster you have fun on the guitar, the more you will play! And the more curious you will get about guitar and music.

For the intermediate and advanced guitarist, it's all about becoming a musician and expressing you, not copying someone else. Of course you are influenced and so we will start of with your influence, but we will get to know the real you as we progress into the wonderful world of music and guitar playing.

I have been playing for over 25 years and teaching for more than 15 years. From 7 to 77. I gig, record and write lots of music as a guitarist and conductor. I also play the ukelele, bass, cajon, piano and I have a voice too!
