Trusted teacher: Hi there! My name is Norica. I am a pianist and a piano teacher from Tokyo. Just quickly to the point: My approach is holistic and systematic. It uses lots of fun exercises and nice educational materials from Japan in addition to the Internationally recognized standard books. (Don't worry, you don't have to understand Japanese!) You learn not only how to play piano but also how music works- music theory. I know what my students are good at and not so good at right off the bat. That's why I can tailor the lesson plans to their goals and needs. Also, if you like to take an ABRSM exam, the syllables will be tailored accordingly. So what will be tested on the day of the exam is integrated into the lessons and my class/lesson offers all-round preparation for the exam. I have helped my students pass G1, 3, 5 and 6 with a good score. Another important aspect of my lesson is to focus on improving cognitive skills - increasing memory, right-hand-left-hand-coordination, sustained attention, nonverbal communication, and a feeling of independence and freedom. I do so with unique materials from Japan and fun training. Currently students from 4 to 76 years old are taking my lessons. We have a great classroom in the center of Rotterdam, near metro station Beurs, lessons with small homogeneous groups (little difference in level). We mainly go for quality and not just running a lesson. I am really involved in the progress of the student. You feel confident with her and you know you are not going to be humiliated and belittled. She is there to support you. After two years of learning music with Pr Yantong Lin, I can hardly imagine how much she "enriched my life". I can't reccommend Claude enough! I reached out to him about doing some French classes to prepare for an exam that I needed to sit in work. I wasn't sure what it would entail but gave him the vague information I had. He created bespoke classes for me which covered a vast amount in a short amount of time. He managed to blend seamlessly the different aspects of language learning (aural, oral and written) during our classes and explained very complicated grammar points in a clear, precise way. He has a wealth of knowledge which he shares so generously. If you are looking for engaging, interactive classes with a teacher who is passionate about the language and can adapt to any level, look no further!

Learn and improve to speak Italian with a real Florentine (Paris)

Gemma was a wonderful teacher. Her and I walked around Florence while she was simultaneously teaching me Italian. Her easy going and positive attitude made learning fun while also being very substantial. Gemma is super patient, and after the second day I could construct longer, more complicated sentences. I had mentioned some struggles I have had within schooling where I struggled with pronouns and prepositions, and by the first day I could do it easy no problem due to her explanations being very good. Overall I Gemma is a very good tutor and I highly recommend her.
