The ESL program's objective is to assist students in acquiring the language abilities required to succeed academically and as contributing members of society. The following goals can be accomplished with the greatest degree of effectiveness: 1. to foster each student's sense of linguistic and personal identity cultural legacy 2. to improve one's command of the English language. 3. to become proficient in speaking, listening, reading, and writing according to the Pennsylvania State Standards for listening. 4. to achieve competency across all subject areas. 5. to give ELL chances in a school setting both curricularly and extracurricularly the same way as our non-ELL kids.
