My name is Amit, a classical-contemporary and improvisation trained saxophonist and teacher.
I have studied in Israel, France, and Switzerland.
As winner of numerous International music competitions, I had the privilege to play as soloist in some of the best concert halls in Europe and Israel, such as the Philharmonie Berlin, Kölner Philharmoniker, etc., as well as under the baton of renowned conductors, among which are Zubin Mehta, Andrés Orozco-Estrada, etc.
I invite you to join my great passion for the saxophone, no matter how old or young you are! Music is for all.

Amit is an Israeli-born saxophonist, pedagogue, and improviser, based in Zurich, Switzerland.
He is the winner of numerous international music competitions, scholarships, and grants as a soloist and as a chamber musician. Amit regularly makes appearances as soloist with orchestras across Europe and Israel and has performed in some of the world’s most prestigious concert halls and festivals: Berlin Philharmonie, Musikverein Wien, Théatre du Châtelet, Tonhalle Zürich, Bayreuther Festspiele, and Opernhaus Zürich, to name a few.
As an enthusiastic advocate of the saxophone, Amit regularly collaborates with contemporary composers, such as Philippe Leroux, Brett Dean, Klaus Lang, and more. He performs with ensembles such as the Israeli Contemporary Players, and Ictus Ensemble, which specializes in performing New Music.
Amit is currently the saxophone teacher in the PreCollege Department at the Zurich University of the Arts. He regularly gives masterclasses on international platforms, such as the ISSA 2020, the International Saxophone Summer Academy.
In 2020, Amit founded the Big Sax Project, a digital platform that offers tutorials for saxophonists of all ages and levels.
Amit is a Henri Selmer Paris artist.
